MB 326 K Engine

Was rejected outright on the basis of the FM being place holder. Had it been review by a dev it would’ve been rejected on the basis of the value used.

How was the empty weight for the wiki obtained? i thought datamining was not permitted for vehicle wikis?

Wiki is run by volunteers and isn’t able to be used for reporting.

If rejecting reports based on datamined/localhost values was already standard procedure, and something that all tech mods should/would know, then why was this one passed to the developers?

It being rejected based on the flight model being a placeholder does not change the fact that the report was passed to developers by the tech mod staff.

so there are straight up just 0 ways to report weight inaccuracies? surely someone told the devs this was a dumb standard to implement?

what is able to be used for reporting

because from what gets denied it feels like all that ever gets changed is napkin math and rafale buffs

Usually yes, but mistakes happen or staff don’t see messages on changes to report handling, regardless if the report isn’t in the form the Devs accept, forwarded or not they will reject it once they review the report.

Does this mean- and please do correct me if I’ve misunderstood the situation- that all methods by which a player may view the mass of an aircraft in-game are considered unusable for the purpose of bug reporting?

Yes it would appear to be the case, I’ve not turned up an alternate method that would result in a usable value to report.

You can get dev empty mass from modification mass reductions since cover reduction is 1,8% (not 2%) of empty mass, so that gets 3683,060696 using the cover value. Or just say the performance now is way off the one in sources (due to the insane empty mass) and point out mass in big red circle.

I guess you also could by change in acceleration with different fuel loads

but at the rate things are going, that will probably still be denied for some reason

its not true,.,.,…,

Is it possible for general feedback to be passed onto devs regarding the new guidelines for FM reporting and the general community displeasure with it? Perhaps aircraft weight could be displayed in the game in statcards similar to tanks. It’s very important information that is just never displayed anywhere in-game directly. @Smin1080p_WT

Would reports about weights without referencing any datamines work?
Such as making a report simply stating the weight is not correct and adding the OEM manual or source with the correct weight in there?

Because the empty weight for the Mb326 is very clearly incorrect yet you are saying I have literally no way to report it.
It seems very strange the devs made this decision since it blocks off all routes for any and all future reports.

I am wondering if this could have been a communication issues between the devs and youselfs as tech mods? ie there has been some missunderstanding in the devs instructions?

Since there are so many reports that have been accpted and fixed based on what you class as “datamine” values I have to wonder if this could be the case.

My bad its 1.8% just excel rounded it up for me, and technically you could be asked to statistically prove it by using a lot of planes sources

just go though report every plane you have the manual for saying “empty mass should be…”

Yes, I will pass on the feedback in this thread.

That would be my suggestion yes.

I mean i can try again, but I don’t wish to waste my time creating reports if they are just going to end up being shut. :/

Maybe, could be a suggestion at most.

No they were quite clear.
