I will never understand why people think this is a good idea, and I have no idea why people want to skip the low tiers and just get to jets, does anyone remember what it felt like to unlock your first jet? No of course you don’t because you just purchased a jet for $120 damn you
Air AB, Air SB … is not my problem if you play in the only mode who dont allowing respawn.
Because people want to play the vehicles they like. And the newer vehicles are much more popular than older vehicles. Its insane that we are forced to go through all these planes we dont care about to play the game we really want.
I cant even begin to imagine how many players gaijin has lost because people are forced to play months of boring prop planes or pay 70$

Sure, you want to play vehicles you like, but you should have to grind for them, I shouldn’t be able to just pay $100 to get into top tier, and never experience what props are like, that’s also why I don’t like the idea of research penalties being removed unless you have already reached top tier, then I believe there should be no research penalties

I dont agree with you at all. The grind is useless. Its a cheap trick to have players in low tiers that would be dead otherwise. A good game with good gameplay doesnt need a grind. Look at csgo for example.

Lol no, the game was originally second world war to Korean war era, it was not made for all of these missile slinging monsters, the point of war thunder is to PLAY THE GAME to reach high tiers to PLAY THE GAME at those tiers. It was not made to instantly shove people into fourth generation jets, that is WHY you grind, and it is WHY the game isn’t ace combat

Exactly, you cant skip them, so research them with lower rank vehicles as you are progressing through tree or buy premium vehicle if you want to skip…

Honestly its a shame Gaijin allows one to research the full range below a the rank of a premium vehicle. Imo one should have similar or the same limitations as tech tree vehicles to discourage buying into top tier.
I understand they want to incentivize paying money for a vehicle, but the research modifiers for top tier vehicles are way too good for researching low rank vehicles. As such it incentivize buying into top tier
Thats the thing i dont want to play premium or low tier tech tree… i reached to the top let me have a benefit on that top tier plane … 50 to 100% to research lower tiers… like other lines that i skipped or was not interesting but now i wana play with some…
Now it feels like the top tier haz no benefit… you got there you play few battles… and it makes me quit cuz i cant do much with it … no RP or SL…

Oddly enough, this is the exact thing people warn new players about. Rushing 1-2 lines then realizing that you will have to start the other lines from the beginning. There has never been a major bonus/benefit to reaching top tier, besides never getting uptiers.
Im not defending WT grind it is annoying but do (kinda) like the way it makes you see how tech and design evolved slowly since ww2 makes you realize how much innovation came in the last 80 ish years but problem is IT FEELS LIKE IVE BEEN PLAYING FOR 84 YEARS to research 1 single aircraft and to buy one costs as much as DCS if not more if gaijin dont do somerhing soon im dropping WT its literally playing to get stuff that you cant spend without actual money i mean who tf came up with convertible rp ayo Gaijin you ever done like psych tests on any employees cause they be thinking either youre rich or yoi jave nothing else to do than play war thunder all day
I don’t want to play the Me 262 it is out classed in its BR I like playing bf 109 f-4 but I can not because in order to research Rank VI I must play in a rank V vehicle and bf 109 f-4 is rank III I also like playing bf 109 K-4 so what I did is I stopped playing air at all and I am not buying a 70$ pixel plane I can get 3 other good games for that money they should let me research what I want with what vehicle I want and trust me even if I get toptier Jets I will stick to my bf 109 F-4, K-4, He 51, Me 264, and bf 110 I like these planes I just want to play toptier sometimes and have fun there but I can not and I am not playing the me 262 even though I like the plane it is in a BR where it is fighting against Jets with after burners and in tanks I will always stick to my “Pz. IV ausf H” and Stug they are the most fun vehicles but I can not research the Leopard with those can I? so I play Tiger II and the only reason I play Tiger II is because it is also a fun tank if Rank V German tanks are not fun believe me I am leaving this game and playing HOI4. This is counterproductive it is a really good game with lots of assets and they do this to it and give it 2 mods to play with more than 2,000 vehicles the very least they can do is add other game mods that makes the unfun vehicles fun which would make players play more diversely
You are absolutely right I like to play low tier to research toptier I really have fun in bf 109 F-4 and K4 but I do not play them now because in order to unlock Rank VI plane I have to play Rank V then here some people will say “bUtT iF yOu LIkE PlaYinG tHE Bf 109 f-4 tHeN wHY NoT sTiCK to iT AnD PlaY wHAT iS fUN” to them my answer will be I like some toptier planes too like the Alpha Jet that I want to get or get the MiG 29 but even then I will always come back to my bf 109 F-4 and K4 I would also like to play toptier sometimes and have fun there I like spamming missiles sometimes too and I am not saying I will skip any vehicle I want to try every vehicle everyone dose you eventually get bored with playing one plane or tank 10 times you try something new and if this trend continues eventually I will get tired and leave the game I invited 3 friends to play the game on left in Rank II the other in Rank III and the other played until rank V but then saw that it would take him 2 weeks to unlock one tank in Rank V he also left the game I will eventually leave in Rank VI if they do not let me play what I like.
