Matchmaking is Broken

Something is broken with the matchmaker. A consistent 70% defeat rate, half the time because the team is half 1-2DLs, and the other half because we’re playing lvl 40s against lvl 100s, for a week, two weeks straight?

What’s up with this? I KNOW it wasn’t like this pre-Leviathans.

Just how it is sometimes.

They dont pick players then control other players to make them lose.

Except that’s not how it was. It was about a 50/50 v/d rate - sure, I personally might be better or worse, but the matches themselves ended up roughly even.

Now, I’m seeing mostly defeats (in a way that seems statistically improbable), in teams that are either incompetent or average against seemingly über-experts most of the time, with the occasional match or two where my team is a bunch of über-experts against incompetents, and maybe a sprinkling of actual fair matchups.
The time of day doesn’t seem to matter much (but it does get even worse during the night…).

I’d believe you if it were for a day or two, maybe three or four.
But nearly two weeks straight now?

It also depends on nations and br, they just sucks to play at different br

I agree, USA in ur team is just a loss if the other nations players don´t carry them

It’s too bad I’m so insistent on grinding out the camos…

There are two options.

A: the player base of the nation you play sucks rn

B: gaijin decided to make you lose and changed the mm so that they could hand pick players to match you with/against.

I’ve noticed that this varies by server (region) as well. I previously primarily played on NA servers. US-main heavy teams on NA servers generally meant the match would result in a loss when I was playing the US. I moved to Asia and now I play on SA servers. Now CN/JP teams generally seem to lose. I imagine it’s the same for USSR in CIS and Germany in the EU.

The average new player is probably predisposed to playing the tech trees that they are most familiar with or fond of, which is likely to be the tech tree of their nation. Whereas experienced players are more likely to be playing other nations for various reasons (finished tech tree, playstyle preference, meta, etc., etc.). Thus, the “local” tech tree teams are probably statistically more likely to have new players on the team than others, contributing to a lower win rate.

There is a pinned thread to discuss MM/Balance. Please use it.
