I want to know if this is true for ground realistic considering I have below 50% winrate in almost every tank at most BRs. I have been fighting people shooting through dead tanks, walls, people who blatantly hack etc… it feels rigged.
Shooting through dead tanks is possible, i don’t know if the game goes by their full armor values or if there is a set value for a destroyed tank but they are calculated by armor in some way at least so hiding behind a destroyed light tank will offer very little protection from an MBT while hiding behind a destroyed MBT might save you.
Some walls are possible to shoot through and others not, it’s mostly map knowledge at that point.
If you believe someone is using forbidden modification then watch the server replay (NOT the client one!) and note down the time where you think it’s most obvious that they used something to modify the game. Then report them through the server replay report function on the main War Thunder website (NOT the in-game complaint system!). The server replay can be found either on the main War Thunder website or the messages in-game (Small envelope icon bottom right in hangar), then the tab “battles” and you have a link to the server replay at the top of the battles summary).
Considering a few days ago my team got nuked by an Indian T-90 that was firing 7 missiles at once I can safely say I have been encountering hackers consistently. Most of the time they just shoot me through rocks however.
Do you look at the server replay to confirm?
The client doesn’t always show you what actually happened, only what the client thinks happened and the client is on occasion wrong.
The kill-cam also shows you the enemy at their current position, not the position they were in when they actually fired. So if they shot then backed behind a rock you’re going to see them behind the rock instead of where they were when they actually fired the shot.
