This was my first experience with this missile and i didnt do research on it but c,mon Gajin can we get a larger firing window for this missile…Please! This thing is way too too small to do any pop up and kill missions you can but its a pain wow. Anyone have any tactics that they use that would be helpful please let me know.
iirc. It just has a C&P of the Vikhrs missile firing zone of 5°x5°, which is fine for the Vikhrs because its on pylons that adjust to the pitch of the aircraft, but massively problematic for the Martlets.
Probably should have used the Starstreaks launch zone which is 10°x10° but even this probably too small given the footage of the wildcat engaging sea targets from a hover without issue

apparently the starstreak LW is wrong and should be similar size as what marlets are now

true that, we need to find information on whether the missile has iog so it can be launched outside the LW
Tried that, it has an IMU but gaijin have denied that means it has IOG.
So would need another sources explicitly stating it has IOG
what is imu? never heard of that before

In theory, its likely why it doesnt seem to have a restricted launch window in any clip either fired from a heli or land/naval turret system. But the report was rejected claiming that IMU doesnt mean it has IOG
