Ik this might sound dumb but why cant gaijin just add the market to console along with user skins im pretty dumb when it comes to making it happen but id love to be able to use user skins on console and using the market would be great to itd give reason for console players to grind out event sell tickets skins etc instead of getting them and never using them and having no way to get rid of them
I can get user skins, because the games we download on console are supplied through Sony and Microsoft, meaning we can only get the files that they supply with the download, but I feel like there should be a way with the market. Most consoles have a internet browser, and I feel that we should probably be able to buy stuff on the market that way.
I think I heard Marketplace isnt added because of the Console manufacturers.
This is correct.
Sony and Microsoft have very strict rules.
I really don’t get why user skins and user sights aren’t available on console. It’s not like there are no games on PS that have user generated content.
Gaijin should sell marketplace vehicles, skins as console only packs.
It’s because Sony and Microsoft take a cut of the profits when things are sold on their store (ie vehicle packs and GE), but they can’t take profits from the Gaijin market since it’s run by Gaijin.
The only way to make it work would be to put the profit loss in the consumer, by making GJN which is 1:1 to the US dollar/Euro, cost more per GJN if bought on console to offset the cut Sony/Microsoft take. For example, if the cut was 30%, 50 GJN would cost 65 USD which would make no sense to buy since 50 GJN costs 50 USD for PC users.
€2000 pack of the E-100 🤣
20 premium days and 2500 GE
Title: Wallet Warrior
Just kidding tho
Then why does forza have a livery creator where you can make custom liveries and share them publically for download on console lmao, or GTA 5 with user made missions.
I guess because they dont cost real money…
As said above…the issue is law and agreements…and the “short version” is that you CANNOT sell anything for real money outside the PSN and Microsoft stores.
It is of course possible…but if Sony/Microsoft found out (and they would) it would mean a big lawsuit…
It is “theoretically” possible to reach an agreement…but the very low number and specificities of the examples that appeared in past discussions seems to “prove” that this is virtually impossible…
