Why is the map rotation broken, especially at the weekends, do they shut down servers and run a minimal number to save money?
I have played fourteen matches and thirteen have all been on the Conquest #2 or Conquest # 1 Abandoned Factory, with the single A capture point. Boring to the extreme.
Factory, Ardennes, Mozdok, Seversk, test site and Alaska are the only maps i get when playing GRB. On the rare occasion i get Tunisia.
I would love to see Pradesh, Red Deserts, Port novorossihk ( i dont know how to type that) and volokolamsk more.
Somtimes i get ardennes 6 to 8 times in a row. I have the map banned now because its getting frustrating to how many times i’ve been forced to plaaay on that map. Same goes for Seversk and test site…
Yeah, I feel like you just get the 3 or 4 maps that are the most highly rated and that’s it, the annoying part is I get maps I have disliked and even banned all the time, I just leave those matches and switch to a different nation and play around till the crew lock is gone and go back to what I was doing.
They’re pushing maps that force players to do CQB, they have admitted this openly as why. Any map that was based around long range combat gets edited with a bunch of hills, slopes and other walls to block sightlines so players have to drive into kill zones within 80 to 40 meters. It’s gotten even worse with how fences will now block armor piercing rounds like you’re shooting a brick enforced solid steel wall, so you have to be hitting targets point blank in the open UNLESS you’re French, who can one shot anything from any range and angle.
There are dozens of threads complaining about map rotation, map layers, map size, and map type ( single/ double cap). I see people complain in game and leave matches immediately, I see threads on reddit, and I see complaints in discord.
Gaijin couldn’t care less about it. I’ve never seen it addressed.

Yes it seems like too many people have too much free time and excess money to waste on lines of code. But short change them in a shop or scrimp on their chips in their meal and they are straight on trip-advisor moaning their selves hoarse.
Overall it is a poor gaming experience, one of the problems with monopolizing this particular section of the gaming genre.
I still wish they had a more seamless and uniform map rotation, something similar to battlefield/battlefront, where you can learn the cycle the maps run in, this way gaijin would also find out which maps are actually disliked, as people will leave the queue in order to skip certain maps, and then they can implement changes/decisions based on that, rather than player ratings, which don’t seem to get much attention.
If anyone has anything to add or criticism of this idea, let me know, because it seems like a win-win in my eyes
Yeah the map rotation is straight up broken, especially in air battles. You end up playing the exact same map game after game until you get the same map but on the opposite side and it just repeats.
Actually to build on this, I might put in a suggestion for a ‘seamless queue’ for Ground modes, which entails joining the queue, the entering into the match, when you win or lose, you get the option to quit to hanger (for quick rewards) or carry on;
The next match, either you switch spawns with the same teams, or the map changes and the teams are then mixed to a reasonable extent (nations juggled around a bit or something along those lines, area needs attention), this keeps going in a loop until all maps have been played, or the player exits the queue and returns to hangar.
To me at least this provides a far less RNG element to matchmaking, and still leaves room for fresh air with different map layouts (maybe a voting system) and teams
What would really help is having a post-game lobby where players are able to stick with who they were just playing with and vote on a next map instead of getting shoved back to hanger and re-queuing.

I get why its hated but its still nice to have it break up the generics in rotation, got my first nuke on that map

Instead of making new maps, they’re busy ‘remastering’ existing maps, but hey the next update will have a couple hundred dollars worth of premiums.
How is this remotely true? If they wanted Naval dead, they would stop releasing premiums and stop doing event vehicles for it.
Map filter should be remove entirely in destroyed map rotation and useless in most case.
