God forbit people be able to easily read maps, differentiate bridges from roads, buildings and other stuff. What’s is missing from most maps is the topography—it wouldn’t be that much useful but it’s a nice touch.

I think the new maps look quite beautiful, but I do think they should’ve kept the contour lines for sure.
I wish I could see the elevation in this map, you wouldn’t know A is in a big dip and C is elevated high, at least for new players
Me when I accidently fall off a cliff cause the map had no counter lines or colors to distinguish between elevation 😭

OP was complaining about the minimap designs and how they provide little to no info, being worse than a 5-year-old’s drawings. The older minimap designs were a lot better in terms of info

100%, again - dumbed down for no reason what so ever, no contours, no detail just blobs on the map!

I do think that they could’ve prettified the minimaps the way they did without also removing information. In that sense, I like the new minimaps in aesthetic, but not having contour lines is a big blow for people unfamiliar with the maps (like new players).
