The Eastern part of the map near spawn has to be changed because if 1 team holds positions near capture point A, there is no chance to leave eastern spawn for other team.
You have to add few indestructible objects or buildings there. Or move already existing ones.
On the screen i marked where you can see from what position for better problem understanding.
That doesn’t change the fact that if you win A , you basically win the whole map if you know how to use your advantage , with A you can control the corridor to C and B easily. The map layout still suck and the amount of time A lost leading to other cap fall and your team get hard camp is more than you think. Who would have thought a high ground multiple peek spot is strong
lol Wait until you find out B is easily accessible from C side without any line of sight to A.
Camping A is a semi-strong position, but it’s pointless if your team isn’t around B to keep an eye on C.
Wait until you see that A still got more option than C ever get. Not talking about player ability to read map and their positioning skill. Assuming both team are equal in skill , A will always have the better upper hand.
The main issue I think he’s having is players are brain dead they will keep spawning in the trapped spawn and lose the match. I had THE WORST MATCH EVER in this map we were already being spawn camped and spawned bombed within 3 minutes of the map they instantly mopped us and pushed us into our spawns.
Just like every match on Advance to the Rhine where 90% of the players spawn A side and keep spawning there even when there are several enemies in the spawn zone
I completely and utterly disagree with this. Holding c and B has lead to winning more games than A ever has. In fact when all the Americans died the rest of us work b and c and defend them.
Holding C, and moving to overwatch B in my opinion provides much better defensive capability defending guys coming from a to retake it. Than it does for people moving from B to A to take A. I feel I have the advantage in that scenario.
If we talking holding and attacking A still got the upper hand, the cap itself have multiples peek spot and a literally high ground. It overlook a lot of position while also offer multiple path to attack and flank not to mention the obvious easy spawn camping. Sure you can hold and defend till the enemy all die and slowly take back A from C. But in these scenario we must assume that all player have equal skill. Not saying that C isn’t good but this map A clearly have the upper hand
No, the design is fine. What I see it as is a ‘friend check’. If you’re someone who thinks going A is a good strategy, then you ain’t no friend of mine. I’m down that 1 line all the way, every day. People think they’re big brains going A thinking it’ll give them the big advantage, while neglecting B and C. So what happens, is they don’t cap A - while all they had to do was hold the caps those, who were unwilling to be lemmings, were able to cap. But no, they keep going A like mindless drones, even with no hope of capping it. Stop going A - you’ll (as in people that only go A no matter the strategy or circumstances) get better at the game. Heck, you know what? I take that back - keep going A, so I can drive down the 1 line and spawn camp you, as per usual.
To add to the above - Even when the damn A cap isn’t even there, I see my team still attracted to it like flies to s*it. They won’t go for the actual cap, they won’t provide you any support even when you’re 1v3 or even more (because you’ll face an enemy team that doesn’t have their head up their…). Example (vid I clipped before the visual redesign):
(Title of the video is for this topic… I wish they did go the cap or to me in that clip)
PS: To OPs point, you can spawn camp both sides easier from 1 line.
