Make "light" helicopters more durable/competitive

AH-6M, Gazelles, BO 105, HKP9A, Lahatut, …

Ever tried the very close air support experience with them, using rockets ?

Can’t survive more than 5 seconds on the Battlefield. You get hit by 1 .50 cal, your helicopter is sawn in half. 3 7.62mm hit you, you’re done. Stronger wind than usual on one of your avionics, can’t shoot anymore (some helis don’t even have their avionics modeled lol, meaning if you get hit anywhere, it’s back to hangar). Proxy HEs, autocannon, IRST + shell, you’re finished.

It’s actually very sad, because the very close air support helicopter experience would bring something interesting to the current gameplay.

APKWS needs its HEAT and Proxy variants, and we need to bring back heli PvP but with a proper BR system.

Aside from the Mi-28, helicopters don’t have much place in the game.

Maybe in the infantry mode, they will get the place they deserve

Unless they put those autocannons against them, in that case they would be cooked from the first encounter

There are so many useless helicopters in the game, unfortunately.

Right now I’m going to grind the Mi-8AMTSH-Vn, which I know in advance will be useless, but it’s one of the most beautiful helicopters ever designed.

It seems that God himself preferred to take an Mi-8 rather than board an ark, as evidenced by the picture above:

I mean they are light for a reason…

Most of them are civilian helicopters with weapons installed.

I love my hull getting hit by mg and I cant fire rockets anymore…

Helirush is DEAD. They can be lowered to 50-100sp lol

Just in case, this is not lowering missile load’s full sp

I find it fun using the Japanese 7.0-7.3? Huey with only dumb Rockets its fun to play a makeshift MLRS and sit above ur helicopter Pad and just Launch the into a CAP point-

Have i gotten Alot of kills that way? Not Alot lol- like 1-2 enemies but its fun seeing the Enemy SPAA try to shoot you and fail to hit you-

Using rockets above the heli pad is a way to play, and yes it’s fun, especially at top tier

But helirush without the ballistic computer is not the same… :heartbroken:

It’s very sad, I’d love to see more of them.

Each time I see 1 coming at us at the beginning of a game and being instantly shot down… it breaks my heart
