Make it so when you disconnect you dont loose your boosters

i had activated 420% worth of sl boosters just to disconnect before i could do anything. i dont know why i disconnected since my internet was fine

That would be abused by players that would disconnect on purpose if they have a bad match just to keep the booster.

lame

or just make it so the booster doesnt count for that match and instead the next one

That doesnt solve the issue of people disconnecting when they have a bad match.

Even as i agree that refunds are prone to get abused:

Gajin itself has the duty to prove that network connection failures are a result of player actions (like deliberately disconnecting). As long as they sell boosters for GE - or sell SL for GE - a refund in case of such losses (like boosters or repair cost when crashing due to connection loss) is a minimum requirement for any serious game provider.

I am sick and tired of losing aircraft (and often whole matches) simply because gaijin is unable to provide stable connections.

Example?

In this replay:

Gaijin Entertainment - Single Sign On

I had a very nice match and rearmed at my main airfield.

After take-off (skip to 18:10) out of nowhere my plane became uncontrollable (44% PL, Bad network message) and i crashed. I had no need to crash on purpose, a stable connection before and after my PL (0% before) and stayed in spectator mode.

So the idea addressed in the OP sounds reasonable.

This might be also a solution for the team killing issue. As soon as boosters had to be refunded by gaijin in case a player got team killed and the corresponding amount of GE for purchasing of such a booster would be charged from the team killer there would be way less team killing…

As written above: We live in 2025 - it is no rocket science to determine who is responsible for the connection loss - and from my pov gaijin has to prove that the player was responsible - and not their IT infrastructure.

These connection issues are at least in the last 2-3 years increasing like hell. i am quite often able to reconnect after i got kicked by restarting my xbox…

It kind of is. How would you differentiate between a player unplugging their network cable from an ISP having a minor hiccup to a builder digging through a fiberoptic cable?

I can agree that in the case it’s actually Gaijins server that is the issue then the booster shouldn’t be used as then it’s very possible to prove from their end.

But from the end users perspective everything that disconnects them that isn’t their own intentional doing is going to look exactly the same to the player. It’s going to be hard to the both explain and prove why some boosters get saved while others don’t. I’m not saying it’s impossible, just hard and likely also confusing and frustration inducing (probably less than currently but still).

This might depend on where you live and what server you connect to. I have personally only ever experienced disconnects when it’s widespread issues, never on a regular basis. I know it’s anecdotal but the servers are super stable from my point of view and my connection route (i live in Sweden).

Edit:

In this example, where others also effected or only you? Because if no one else in that match had any issues then it’s very unlikely that it happened on Gaijins end.

If i would be an IT nerd i might be able to explain that to another IT nerd.

As a non-nerd i can’t imagine that it is impossible to distinguish between a connection loss between the last web knot and the end-user/player or the data transfer between gaijin and the last knot.

In other words: Deliberate disconnecting or temu IT infrastructure are 2 different kind of issues. If you see gaijin as a plain service provider charging customers when they use special services like a booster - offering these services implies also to actually provide the promised / ensured effect of these services.

The quality of the connection was pre-2022 (i play mainly on CIS server) absolutely fine - the ping is 30-40 on EU and 50-60 on CIS.

If i wouldn’t have been chat banned i might have asked the last 3 players😎

Joke aside - i stayed in the match and the last enemy player crashed 1 or 2 minutes after me.

I appreciate your effort, but further exchanges make no real sense as long as we have no reliable data how often players get kicked in which country from which server.

Have a good one!
