As it currently stands, they have the ability to control a person in the hanger to walk around and look at your vehicle from different and interesting angles. This is a mechanic reserved exclusively for the anniversary and not a mechanic that can be done every day.
With the introduction of the new hanger mechanic, I would suggest this being the perfect time to add this as a constant feature, rather than a rare seasonal feature. As it would allow you to walk around and not just look at aircraft up close, but the weapons too.
