funnily i feel like a sarh buk would end up being more accurate. with how badly they have modelled arh seekers for sams.

even the sarh variant can be used on 12 targets at a time iirc.
my guess is that gaijin gave it ARH seekers (which are easier to defeat) so that they dont have to model multiple SARH missiles being guided at different targets

i wont be surprised if thats why they gave it 9M317MA. like we dont even have 2 variants of the missile like camm , camm-er. they just skipped straight to 9M317MA without 9M317M (when they kinda try their best to make stock grind worse) .
yeah, it is kinda weird that they didnt give the BUK more of its missiles
like at least the base SARH missile

ig they will skip to arh/ir missiles for every sam if they cant find a solution to properly model the ability to have multiple hard locks.
We know that from the community update blog, developers are focused on adding more ESA aircrafts to every tech tree where possible.
But according to some Russian speakers, on a previous dev-stream developers have said they would like to add more MAWS aircraft to the game (presumably for every tech tree) before they add IIR missiles.
The only ones without a top tier aircraft fitted with MAWS in-game presumably are:
- Russia
- US
- Japan
- Sweden
What can they get that utilizes maws?
Gripen C should already have MAWS via a CM pod and the Gripen NG/E has MAWS intergrated
Is it the same CM pod they have in-game now or is it something else?
For US, maybe some F-16 with PIDS+ like the block 60 or 40/50 if it’s possible (USAF bought some iirc), also F-15SA and QA. The F-22 and F-35 both have MAWS but they’re 5th gen so not really relevant
Its either an upgraded form of BOL or something else entirely. Ive not been following the Gripen threads all that much.
