Interesting. Still, I don’t see why they would use rail or truck for a combat coded airframe that has to be in flying condition
I don’t think they do rail or truck often if at all fwiw. Most deliveries seem to be flown from the factory. Just talking about the how, IF, they chose to do it that way.
testing of APG-63 V2 wasn’t even done till 2002
I dont think its actually that uncommon. To transport an aircraft instead of just flying it. Might be a number of reasons for it, if nothing else security. Easy to hide an aircraft under a tarp or something, another to try and hide it landing at an airfield.
Sure full production stuff they probably wouldnt do that, but if you are talking about new tech. Its possible.
Good point but one problem. The revolutionary new technology is covered by the radome already
It’s been nearly a year actually. Update Firebirds added the Su-34 with the V004 PESA which was the first on fixed wing. But I don’t think it was actually modelled properly an an ESA until Storm Warning added the Rafale with it’s AESA.
They also can fly planes inside of cargo transport, obviously…
There may be external changes. let alone perhaps wanting to hide the EM signatures?
Well the article on it is from December 2000. So I don’t think it was that secret. For EM concerns, they only have to fly it deep in NORAD airspace
L-39 was only just added in the previous major. So sadly it would not be discounted that soon.
Some SEPv2s with trophy were even sent to Europe for a NATO exercise no?
Thats a big L from your part to promote sales of something that is kinda meh and not selling well.
Its standard for all packs. 2-3 majors.
What determines if its 2 or 3?
The time of year. For example the last 3 majors all fall within quick succession compared to the first two which are further apart. As well as a few other components to consider.
They were indeed. This image is from an exercise in Romania. I think the only M1 trophy test/deployment that never left US soil was the M1A1 FEP trophy
Speaking of Romania, I wish Italy would get something for it’s first squadron vehicle I hate the fact it’s the only nation that still hasn’t gotten one
I guess this means the update will come out tomorrow?
Or the 23rd?
Like; would this come along with the update, or would the update come upon the end of this?
This is most likely the russian Mi-24D For golden eagles.
There’s been multiple Ge purchases between dates past 1-2 weeks so in regards to the update it has nothing to do with it.
Edit: date for 2023 was 20th - 22nd of september. 2024 was 19th - 23rd.
Any chance we might see an L39C from Etsi?
