Python 4 is dual IR/UV band seeker (Like stinger) Python 5 and the other missiles you mentioned are IIR.
which is still a better seeker than anything else we have on planes currently
and as we have seen on the ground launched IRIS-T they will model those missiles with seeker shutoff and fov reduction
so effectively ingame the Python 4 and 5 would probably have the same seeker
Though again, they have nerfed A2A missile seekers before to maintain balance. the PL-8B should have both if im not mistaken and the Aim-9M doesnt even have its primary form of IRCCM modeled currently, instead its limited to seeker shutoff instead of getting its push ahead. Let alone SRAAM and Red Tops which should be all-aspect.
Seeker performance therefore is irrelevant when discussing P4s introduction, it can just have a C&P R-73 seeker, Especially with P5 available for a Gen 5 equivalent. the only thing that really matter is Kinematic performance, which could very well be too good for fair introduction. Though again… They could always limit that too.
It’s just that Gaijin hasn’t modelled proper heating from afterburner. Front aspect afterburners are too cold.
Yes and no.
Yes, they need to do that. But Red Top was tested against Buc S2s and had 3km front aspect lock and SRAAM was tested against non-reheating Tornados, which again, got a front aspect lock.
they are litereally not being modeled as all-aspect to maintain their BR. I agree with SRAAMs in this regard, but not Red Tops
Counterpoint several of the “full” British ranks are full of pretty bad vehicles.
Ah, so I guess that’s a no to further modifications of A-4 for the US TT :(
Not a valid argument for gaijin unfortunately
tell your suggestion moderator to respond and not put on seen when they got a message
Did anyone ask Smin if there’s a possibility of another dev-server?
Seems like anything doesn’t seems like argument for gaijin, except review- bombing and no donation sessions
Well I’ve gone and done it, time to learn sim :P
welp

Best thing to start with is go into test flight and spend a while on the keybinds. Get them all to your liking and get used to flying with it. Going into custom battles against AI is great for practicing.
Also you might find there’s some ghost inputs occuring with it. (Depends on your motherboard mostly with some older boards). If you do see that happening buy a powered USB hub and plug the HOTAS into there. It can have some issues if there isn’t enough power getting to it via the motherboard. They are relatively cheap though so it’s not the end of the world. The throttle unit is surprisingly power hungry.
Congratulations
You’ve entered the pleasure of pain, I’ve entered the pleasure of SCOTLAND
Spoiler

We are never getting another A-4 for the US because for some bizarre reason Gaijin hates US strike aircraft. Its rather shameful and disgusting
