I mean it could be fine if they fix AMRAAMC. Just like SU30, compensate the crap kinetics with missile kinetics. Be it it will be worse off still.

I’ve always been on PC so I have my biases but yeah like Iphones I don’t understand the console buzz of always getting the next one, with PC’s at least you can go at least 6 years before needing a new one.
Luckily I brought this one last summer before my older one started screen ripping on Christmas day but yeah RIP that one 2017 to 2024

Id still take an Advanced Eagle (or MRML F-15C if they eventually allow it) with 12 AMRAAM over Super Hornet with 12 missiles any day. Missile Kinematics would only work if it stayed at a lower BR which I doubt
They didn’t forget, we’ve gotten multiple confirmations that it’s being worked on.
We also already know that submarines will be discussed as part of it, so it might be taking longer until they’re ready to show some of that off maybe?

Yeah, but just saying it is still ‘ok’ if the AMRAAMs are made better, which of course won’t just benefit it. Also just saying the F-15s or EFs getting new AMRAAMs or fixing existing ones would still likely make them quite overpowering against what everyone else has, (except rafale cause everyone knows that is just MICA dominance). Even Su30SM will be quite a bit behind the MRML, nvm EX. I would think next version is for intermediate, like J-10B, F18E, JAS39E(perhaps), F16V and a few lighter but electronically upgraded vehicles to come first, and then that paves way for heavier carriers like AESA EF, J10C, F15EX, J16 and those alike to join in.
or you just get the F-15EX with 12 AMRAAMS and have a missile bus with good flight performance
f-15ex with slightly more thrust then the f-15e is not really good flight performance imo, it’s around 1 ton heavier than the original f-15e which will make it even more of a brick in maneuvering. In a straight line though, it’s gonna be a beast.
It definitely has worse thrust to weight than the f-15e with 229 so its gonna be mid as hell
End of the day, all people will care about is the missile count, because US mains care more about ‘insert big number’ than anything else

IMO flight performance matters more than missile count, I think f-15ex will be better than the fa-18e even though f-15ex carries less missiles than the 18e
