Only reason the F-15E was good in the first place was the those cracked engines, when the rafale and E2K came out the F-15Es engine advantage went out the window. With the new F-15 GE it’s gonna have worse engine output and the only redamble feature will be the radar on it, other than that it’s gonna be the weakest 14.3 when it comes in its current state

It’s also going to pull harder which matters as much as being fast does in BVR. Su-30SM does work in BVR and it’s FM is no better than the F-15C.
Radar and missiles is what wins games, give the Rafale the PD from the Mirage 2000 and it wouldn’t be anywhere near as dominant
the Su-30 also has to have 2 times the missiles to compensate for the FM

the Mirage radar has more range than the rafale one ingame
And Aim120Cs are better in BVR so it kind of evens it up a little…Su-30 will still be strong.
I doubt it. AESA or mechanical, the Rafale can still do the tried and trusted “HMD lock and MICA be upon you” to just absolutely dominate the close range fights.
Slower scan pattern though and prone to notching.

yes but it takes longer as they fight with the Radar this is the Typhoon experience begging the Radar to lock something. That time and not be able to cycle targets so quickly would reduce the Rafale ability to fire off 6 MICAS sit in the notch and just win.

Yeah. I could be wrong but I don’t think AESA radars are any more resistant to notching in WT than mechanical radars.

It refreshes faster so it sees you as soon as you leave the notch.

I hope they at least give the F-15C GE radar the good NCTR that all the other esa radars have.
The 9 threat type NCTR is just so depressing and useless, especially when your plane is only good at BVR.

At least the radar angles on the SMT are good so you can do some really funny things with it.
Thats also like the only positive the SMT has. Man i wish they would fix the 29 airframe and give us a 29M 9.15 or one of the other 29M/35s already.
