Will we ever find out what the thought process of the devs was putting the spyder at the same BR as AAs that are 2-3x as good?
The decision to move the Spyder to 12.7 with this decompression just feels wild to me personally.

So you would be fine with the US not getting a top tier tank next year if all their tanks simply got downtiered? That’s another topic.
My argument was that britain and italy both had a top tier fighter while germany didnt. So saying that eft was added because all 3 lacked one is simply wrong. Doesnt change that some nations didnt have a competitive fighter in the past either because at the time they had one

When have I ever stated that Britain is going to receive content from every single commonwealth member state? I can tell you with certainty the answer to that is never. However, going on the only official communication until now being ‘Britain will receive more commonwealth vehicles’, there is nothing to say that doesn’t mean receiving content from any of the 56 member states without receiving content from all of the 56 member states. That isn’t particularly hard to understand.
The fact that the planned commonwealth additions are currently limited to the existing nations in the tree is completely new information to the community. Which is appreciated, but the point remains given that this is only the present consideration for potential additions.

All nations that have a top capable SPAA saw them moved to 12.7. Those that have their new top SPAAs coming have those gaps left to fill. As we explained here:

I hate to beat a dead horse, but any chance we could see the A-4M that was spotted in the files years ago get added in a future patch?

But the US claws was only moved to 12.3 while the Spyder, which is arguably worse than the claws, was moved up to 12.7.
That is why I find it hard to comprehend the Spyder move.

Nobody has claimed that you have. I was clarifying that, as we have said numerous times, we do indeed plan more commonwealth vehicles. But:
A) Not every commonwealth vehicle, even from those nations already in game, will come
B) Not every commonwealth nation will be used
As we have also clarified:
The focus on “Commonwealth” is on those nations already present in game, as they have the most to offer.
Does that mean the odd one off commonwealth vehicle from a nation outside of those in game may come? Sure
Does it mean the British tree will be flooded with the majority of 50+ nations. No, absolutely not.
We have been clear from the start that the purpose of the South African and Commonwealth vehicles (and their future vehicles) has been to offer alternatives and gameplay variety over what British vehicles themselves can. They were never added to replace or be “instead of” domestic vehicles and will never be the dominant number of vehicles in the British tree.
