The quote you are referencing was when MAWS was added to the J-8F for testing purposes. At this moment in time no aircraft had MAWS. The system was being internally tested and then would be rolled out on the aircraft confirmed to have such a feature. We are following through with this with the aircraft we can directly confirm had a full functioning MAWS system on.

Hi did the developer acknowledge that J-8F has MAWS? (I believe they didn’t choose a plane randomly for testing, right?) There are several J-8F MAWS reports that were quickly marked as “Not a bug” because other than visual evidence, there is a lack of documents that directly stated the aircraft has MAWS. We would be very disappointed if the first aircraft for MAWS test will not get it at the end.
Sadly the visual evidence of a picture of what could be just the RWR system doesn’t confirm a full MAWS system. So that alone will indeed lead to a report being closed.
So do you mean that the developers do not even know if J-8F has a MAWS or not, but chose it for MAWS testing? What a strange decision.
