Abrams would still be glass… but at least it would be an actual, proper glass canon, not just a mediocre piece of glass.

People would have a reason to fear encountering an Abrams, the same way people have reasons to fear encountering a BVM, 2A7V/HU or a 122.

If they refuse to give the Abrams anything resembling functional armor, they could give SEP M839A3 and SEPv2 M829A4, so that at least they are proper glass canons instead of barely mediocre MBTs.

Its a shame, it having the R-77 makes it most unique, without it, its like not giving amraams to the F4.

Tbh, when the first all aspect missiles arrived so did the A-10 and Su-25 even on lower brs… Premiums with the newest weapons… So strange suddenly now its not possible

I think it may be the very same replica they had on display on their old location years ago. I personally haven’t seen that one for several years and I’ve been wondering when it they will put it back on display again.

Also, that may very well be the exact replica that paired with my grandfather having the plane back then as add-on on FS2004, started my love for the Fokker G.1 when I was little. Like in 2005 or something.

Well it does have the top IR missile, the R-73.
Still, you’re right, no need to withhold R-77 imo. I’m happy with a higher Br for it.

And I think everyone agrees that that was generally a bad thing, I’d rather have the ARH coming to top rank premiums later down the line than have them flooding the MM now (and I wouldn’t be surprised if gaijin wanted data on ARH performance without prem players skewing things lul)

This is a logical reason for them to withhold. I’d be happy getting it now on the Bison but it makes sense for them to get their bearings on it.

My prefered solution is what they are doing this update for Italy as well: add more MBTs that can compete with the 2A7V, Strv 122s, BVM and 90M in terms of armor/protection.

They are doing that in the form of the 2A7HU for Italy, they should do it for more nations as well. For the US this would probably mean the SEPv3.

I actually expected them to do it like they did the R-73, at first it was some premiums and events that used it in limited quantity. But i guess now that moment for AMRAAMS is long passed.

I do understand all reasoning now, and the Bison on 11.7 is fair.

very possible indeed. Would be easier to get it that way than to grind through all the Belgian jets and leaves room for the premium F-16…
