Wasn’t it AIM-9L/I in reality?

An AIM-9L with IRCCM

idk I kinda want Yugo to be in a Warsaw pact nation of Poland, Czechoslovakia & Yugoslavia.
Especially under the new nations folder system like what @MAUSWAFFE reposed.

Can someone send a pic of the top belgian F16 loadout? Aswell as the new mfds on other aircraft

Which one lol

It suppose to like that but in the past Gaijin clearly stated that they had no intentions to model Aim-9L/i, thats why it should get Aim-9M.

For Yugoslavia to be thrown in the same bunch

I do actually support the proposal at it was written, it’s a post of very good quality to boot. Problem is that it isn’t a feature in game yet, so making presumptions about adding countries in that way is not yet reasonable.
Either way, I’m not sure if you’d want to give Soviets access to M47s, AMX-30s, M60s, Bradleys and Rafales.

I agree with that, I would like them to begin with Sweden if they do end up adding it.
As they are already a faction nation and tons of Finnish stuff they can use from the files yet to be added.
Idk if Norway should be a sub for Finland but again that defeats the purpose of this proposal.

Just have to see if gaijin notices it.

It technically is in game the RB74 (M) was confirmed to not be the AIM-9M but a modernized AIM-9L so we can ascertain that its an AIM-9Li-1 so theoretically they could just call it that

RB74 (M) in game are just renamed Aim-9M, Gaijin knew it was suppose to be Aim-9L/i but decided to model it as 9M.

I’d be more open to including Yugoslavia in such as opposed to the current structure, but I’d still always much prefer the independent option.

I mean hell, you could even make a folder out of Yugoslavia for the post Yugoslav republics (though these would be a fair bit more limited in scope)

It was confirmed to not be the case. By a TM.

Someone has the screenshot I cant remember who

Tbh I dont think we’ll get another TT

You can check it by yourself, its Aim-9M with smokeless engine which shouldnt be in the first place.

Aim-9L/i in real life didnt have smokeless engine, not to mention they clearly stated that they dont have any intention to model Aim-9L/i, thats why Swedish Gripen recieved Aim-9M even tho it wasnt suppose to have them in the first place.

Normally I would say I support a Independent Yugo as it meets some of the standards but ever since I’ve looked over that sub tree rework. I changed my mind some what,

I mean they can still have most of the thing they had in service under this system but at the same time under this they can have support from Poland and Czechoslovakia so it eliminates that line up issue.

The AIM-9Li-1 does indeed have a smokeless engine.

After the US denied to sell the AIM-9M to Europe, Germany and Raytheon opened a joint comany to develop the AIM-9Li to sell to europe, and further upgraded them down the line to completely match the AIM-9M.

Theres 0 evidence of Sweden obtaining AIM-9Ms as they were denied however we DO know they recieved AIM-9Li’s -1’s to be exact

That is exactly my issue: what they had in service.
Being a sub-tree would pretty much undoubtedly make us lose so many unique options, especially considering South Africa was the only good one and Hungarian ground the only one that was relatively okay.

At least with an independent tree Gaijin would have to continually expand it, thus delving into the nishe stuff that appeals so much to Yugoslav fans. With a sub-tree chances are very likely to get ignored.

Yugoslavia would have a similar amount in tiers 6 and 7 as Sweden, and Korea would have the FA-50.

I understand your issue I really do everything has it’s pros and cons.

Again I understand where your coming from but again it’s that line up issue, for me three nations backing each other up but not getting in each others way is more healthily than the current system of let’s slap on a 5th line solution. Or adding half baked trees only to serve those who are nationalistic no offence.

We are getting to a point where nations are getting smaller than our current small nations.
The only way to add big nations now is to add faction nations however in this current system.
It would just keep getting in each others way.

If Yugoslavia had a similar number of vehicles to Poland and Czechoslovakia, that would be fine, however, especially for ground, Yugoslavia has more than a number of nations already in game, so it’s best if it’s independent.
