I would very much be hesitant to say so. The VRCC is basically a centauro and of course it would go to Italy. But Spain remained neutral in the war with rather insignificant contribution, and they are not a lot of connections besides both being fascists - different form of fascism as well. Turkey is quite similar since the TAF and T129 are effectively Italian so giving them elsewhere makes less sense. Well, there is always the case of Spain contributing to EFT, and I am not sure about how Italy played a role in accepting Spain into NATO.
Better choice than Hungary? Sure. Would I personally prefer it over Brazil? Not sure.
Italy might be a bad example, but still they did get also a lot of other stuff which doesnt make it mixed up like France which was a big enemy of Germany

Some people are really into the whole ‘technology’ tech tree aspect and forget that nations procure their stuff also via other ways than indigenous defence industries. Real life really isn’t that black and white. And War Thunder also is really mixed in that way.

Perhaps. Canada is more about their vehicles going to the trees where the designs are based from. Germany has 4 leopards top tier, not sure if a fifth will do much, neither will the US need another F-16.

Technological lol. If trees can only have their own indegenious tech in three years 95% of the players will be playing US, Russia and China since only them have domestic gen 5s. Maybe a dozen coping with the British trying to steal classified documents on the BAE tempest.
