I feel like if anything they had two options:
A: Have the BeNeLux be a sub for France
Or
B: Have Belgium itself be part of France as a sub tech tree.
And they decided on the Former.
Since the former it gives France more stuff and things they need like IFV’s or SPAA that has been heavily requested Though not in the way they were expecting, via stuff that already exist in-game like the CV-9035NL as a example. Thus making it easier for them while providing content to France as a whole.
While the latter will still be good for France though at the cost of making both Domestic stuff for both France And Belgium at the same time.
Though I am just assuming what their game-plan was for the idea for France.
It’s kind of disappointing when a new update drops, and there’s literally nothing for the community to discuss about Japanese ground forces because there’s just nothing new to talk about.
Honestly, I think this is one of the more underwhelming updates in a while, unless you’re into air combat. Ground vehicles this time around are pretty boring – a bunch of premium vehicles, and the tech tree additions are mostly unremarkable.
I love auto-cannons, especially when they can penetrate beyond at least 90mm. However, most scout tanks and SPAAGs like the ZSL92, XM800T, and that one Swedish USH thing only penetrate about 60mm. The biggest problem with these vehicles, like many before them, is that they are incredibly overrated. Take the Type 87 P with its 60mm pen at 7.7 BR – most of the time, you’re just playing as a cameraman.
The CV9035DK could have been something to look forward to, but of course, it’s another Swedish premium. Why not add the 10th Swedish tier 6 premuium tank, because that is sure important?
So, after spending half an hour on the dev server, I found nothing to be excited about. Overall, I’d rate this update a 4/10.
WT major update fell off recently…
Not only that, everything from 10.0 onwards, or 4/10 of the aircrafts are Belgian. For what a significant portion of the players consider relevant - higher tiers, it can just be said that Belgium is enough. Replace the props with what Belgium has operated and it would be fine here. The fokkers(and RNLAF F-16s) can be represented in Germany, where choices were much needed.
What is happening is that the Dutch command structure and units are simply striving for much greater cooperation with the Germans. Unlike how you state, they are not “integrated fully”.
What they strive for is to be able to function as one army while being two separate ones.
The Dutch do not lose autonomy over their own armed forces.
for air players its quite nice and last patch was focused on ground with all the new top tier mbts, also forgot about the desert warrior a very welcome addition and my favourite of the patch
Well yeah obviously it would of been a great idea.
its either that or have the Independent BeNeLux tech-tree.
Netherlands going to Germany is a bit of a stretch if I say so myself, mainly due to them already having a lot of vehicles of there own + Argentines stuff like the TAMS.
It’s cooperation, not part of the bundeswehr lol. If the dutch government doesn’t want it’s troops deployed somewhere they wouldn’t go, no matter what the bundeswehr wants.
Well Argentina do provide options(just dont give them a super etendard), but firstly, we are yet to see their F-16s which despite being a copy would be much apperciated; furthermore the Dutch wouldve been more sensical with the Germans with people explained the reasons above; and lastly, the current Benelux subtree is predominantly Belgian in higher tiers with the Dutch contributing the only original model and only up to the meteor - and it would be reasonable to find Belgian props and early jets. The RNLAF hunter F.6 can also be replaced with a Belgian one.
