Are we ever gonna get a technical explanation as to what the critical issue(s) was or can we assume they needed more time (after the fact/announcement, which we should understand as we’re human and do it too for other things) until release?

Maybe they are going to fix 120D and 12A and that’s why it was delayed and called it critical issue :D
Welp, I mean, we can eventually expect the PL-12A (and SD-10A, welp BR bump incoming) to maybe get its stated Mach 5 top speed (it’s the only bug report that wasn’t victim to AI slop that was accepted). AIM-120D is just a reskinned C-5 that knows where it is much better.
Also, didn’t they ‘fix’ its manoeuvrability?

Nah the servers are run off an old chromebook with a sticky note saying “do not turn off”, but then someone turns it off.

It’s basically the MiG-29M coming to the game, but made differently to land or takeoff on/from carriers. I’m sure there’s a few other differences, but that’s the gist of it. It’s also in somewhat high quantity and NOT a prototype, which means tech tree. 🥰
Go to the main WT website and double check your most recent login history. Log in, click your name top right, click “security settings”, click “login history”.
If everything looks normal then it’s very likely just a server/connection issue. (note that the IP locations aren’t always accurate, mine for example says that i’m in a city that i am not in but it is definitively me that is logging in. Comparing the location to times that you know that it was you that logged in can help narrow things down.)
If you however see logins that are not yours then change password ASAP. If you haven’t activated 2FA then do so as well and then contact Support to ask them if there are any other security steps that you should take.
