Major Update "Ninth Wave" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 3)

At least from the test server performance, I couldn’t see any advantage that this upgrade would bring in battles that I could notice. I have to rely on datamining to know exactly what Gaijin has improved.Or, based on my usual understanding of gaijin , perhaps they will demonstrate their so-called improvements by weakening other missiles.

they have the spacemake J15T 14.7 but they make it 14.3. It demonstrates a clear attitude gaijin have on Chinese tech tree: this tree don’t deserve a 14.7Jet. This tree is always an inferior tree.

Don’t be so angry, bro. The game is just a game. Time and reality will eventually speak for them.

Idk. They didn’t seem much harder to defeat than any other missile on the dev server. For me at least fights usually progressed to within 20km relatively quickly and from there the pl12a just wins because it pulls better than the 120d which just tended to miss even with 0 iog.

Why can’t I? I spent hundreds of dollars and hundreds of hours on this tree. I’m not paying time and money to suffer.

This did not change anything, just like aim120c-5 and pl12.

More or less.

From my understanding, I believe the “OP” part of it is you could effectively launch, turn defensive/cold and turn in slightly to still feed the missile data on a defensive target (after you’ve defeated their missile, ofc).

Did the guys you were fighting just launched and turned immediately? I assume so, since you’re so close. The missile on its own will likely act as all others.

Like I said before, I see why Gaijin opted not to give AESAphoons/JAS39E the AIM-120D lol.

I don’t think AIM-120D and PL-12A are bad or DOA, but I also don’t think they will change things in any significant way for the planes they are on, except maybe for the F-15C GE.

Gaijin kind of shot themselfs in the foot with how they talked about these missiles in the CM disclosure article. Because they said that these missiles were being added to help give US and China top tier a boost, so people were expecting missiles that would at least make a difference.

I mean fights usually progressed with us firing at about the same time and notching until about 20km, from there it usually came down to who’s simply more skilled as the window to notch got smaller. By 10-15 km usually someone was dead. The pl12a being the most used missile on the dev server in my experience usually won due to just being able to pull harder and not having to throw your nose around as far.

I think it OK for ALL country to have AIM-120D, since this missile doesn’t seem particularly special at the moment.

True

The Gripen E and AESAphoons would profit from AIM-120Ds than the 15C GE/18E/18F/16CM could ever hope to.

Indeed, because you can maintain the data link from a defensive position

Unless the brits have integrated the aim120d onto the typhoon idk if its been integrated. though at this point idk how much it matters anymore. Italians and germans went from c-8 to meteor.

just use ai generated sources again
surely that will work

Well, we’re 24 hours away (give or take) to find out.

Does the J-15T have one of those gimballed radars? I thought it wasn’t anything special like the other non-gimballed ones.

China gets AIM-120D (named the AIM-120C-8) through Taiwan’s F-16s, so just wait a bit.

I mean, do you even need to? The AIM-120D doesn’t really change anything but GNSS on the missile, which doesn’t really require anything to be done for the Eurofighter, and we know tech. compat. is the only thing that matters (most nations skipped Sidewinder/AMRAAM variants but still have them in game)

I fought a lot of the J15t but it was mostly J10c’s giving me trouble due to the radar gimbal.

I can’t wait
