No it has a standard BLU-111 Unitary Warhead, which is the same as the Mk82 like he said, so it’s really a terrible addition honestly. Maybe range wise it could go pretty far, but it’s just a GPS bomb in essence and it takes the third pylon which is the only one that can carry a lot of sophisticated munitions on the F-16Cs so… you are better off with 2 LDAMs.

F-16 Block 50 should also be able to use it, not just PoBIT.

Unless the JSOW can gain a low-detectability advantage through its ‘stealth shape,’ its practicality is still less than that of a 2,000-pound JDAM-ER.

Not only is it not that useful for GRB due to being GNSS only, even if you wanted to bring a GNSS glide bomb the GBU-64 JDAM-ER is right there and has superior stats…
It really shouldn’t, Blk50 can already carry JDAMs.
You got me, the SDB II should be here too, would make the new panstir addition a lot more palatable for CAS users. Maybe the range? For the JSOW, I’d honestly rather take it on the F18E if it gets the 4, and with the Mach limit, wouldn’t have to slow down a ton to launch
I mean, is the range really a consideration? For Ground RB purposes, you just have JDAM-ERs already and for normal JDAMs you can significantly increase the range by just lobbing them. For Air RB, maybe? But you usually use bombs to stock grind anyways, and these are high tier mods, so it’s ultimately an useless addition unless they get stealth capabilities I guess, but even then it really depends on how good said capabilities are.
Yeah the range shouldn’t mean anything with the map sizes available, but it’s hard to figure how they balance it. Having a Mach limiter to me is what really hinders bombs like this, in addition to stealth of course

Ah, my bad. Tested and they fixed it. For the first few months after ldircm was introduced, kh38 ignored it pretty well and I thought it was still like that.

Well to be fair, if you switch to contrast mode on the SAM missile like Stinger or TAN SAM, LDIRCM does nothing to it which is nice.
