Its basically the same plane so there is no way it will be gimped.
The only thing they can gimp is the armament by not giving R-77M which will be hypocrisy considering Japanese Su-30 recieved KH-38’s despite not using it in real life.
according to Gaijin the Aim120A/C-5/D are all almost identical (the C-5 and D even downgrades). so saying there’s no way to gimp it is very optimistic to say the least, and even if they don’t gimp it china will just get it a few patches later and then the su35 will outshine their domestic posterboy because reasons
They’re not the same kind of missile. The PL-15 is long range class like the Meteor for example, the R-77-1 is medium range class like the AMRAAM for example. If you want a fair comparison take something like PL-12A probably
Seeing how PL12A is getting treated I don’t have a lot of trust in Gaijin to not gimp these missiles either.

Gimping Chinese Su-35 will be gimping Russian one since both jets are basically the same.

Well the D at least gets no gimbal limits, so I’ll be able to joust them at angles that I usually wouldn’t be able to with the C5.
Also the GNSS plus narrow TWS scan of the F15GE can be interesting to keep the missile on track.
I never expected the amraams to behave like Micas or R-77-1’s, and yet I still think they are good missiles when paired with a good ESA radar.
Out of curiosity, how did you come to this conclusion?
I assumed the differences in flight model has been dure the differences in size (length and width).
I’m not sure if this variant has an export version tho, unless they straight up invent one to justify the chinese Su35 having them too.
Considering MKM got KH-38 missiles despite not using it I don’t see any problems.
As long as platform is compatible Gaijin has no issues adding weapon systems.
Gaijin has said if a country has bought a vehicle without the full arsenal it can carry in game it will get it the same with all the AH-64E only America has the FnF missiles but in game all of them have them
Thats why Chinese one will most likely get R-37M/77M as well.

At least the KH family and R77-1 on the MKM are the IRL export versions that were presented, with their respective names.
As far as I know China doesn’t use domestic missiles on their Su-35.
