Major Update "Ninth Wave" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 3)

I mean why shouldnt a shell travelling forward explode like it has no inertia in a perfect 360 degree star

I look at this “modern speach” (message Caernarvon sent), and i wonder where we went wrong.

Yes yes, I remember it was put to a vote, I just wanted more specific details. I do remember the YouTubers making a fuss about it, but I also remember some of them complained because of Gaijins history of implementing things.

That goes against the laws of inertia.

then again the T-34 driver hatch also breaks space and time so its to be expected

"The only projectiles with damage will be nerfed"😆

thats pretty much how your average WT account named after wittmann saw it.

APHE would still have overperformed while solid shots, APDS and APCRs need a buff to realistic figures.

I do think from their post about it that this would have been one of the few changes that was well executed.

Even if it wasnt they would fare better than solid shot sufferers do

People, mainly big YouTubers who main the big three, didn’t read so through up a stink about testing the rework.

The after effects of that, and how close the vote came, were tested on that one’s Dev server and were well received, but the live server test never happened, so…

I knew lots of people who mained, US, GER, USSR would tell anyone that anything that would bring their nation in line would kill the game over, making other nations look more playable.

Also, a good 90% of the ariguments was it would kill one tank, the 75mm Sherman Jumbo backing it, so it can’t kill anything, well, having good armour. (sounds like it just goes the way of the Churchill)

It seems to go white → red → green → blue
Yellow appears to be special (Might be used from next update as icon for 120D pairs)
I wasn’t able to find pair of yellow missiles

Tho the worst part of it, we voted for a counter nerf for the buff APHE got anyway.

Before the vote and changes, AP had one thing going for it: the fact that it could go through modules. But at the same time as the rework vote, it got everything AP had, leaving the shell and the nations you use it even more pointless.

Oh yes, I dream of shrapnel inside the tank being able to ricochet. This would boost all solid projectiles, which sometimes lack damage.

Well yeah but a same missile might not have the same status on different aircraft, being the best on one and the worst on another. From that perspective, it’s possible that the color code symbolizes which missile is better (didn’t check it on a broad scale so can’t tell if there’s an actual pattern on this)

its not a nerf when its an accuracy fix

Speaking of BR’s, is there any particular reason why the Dragoon is at 9.7? Are there any plans for a decrease? Its closest vehicle in comparison is the VBCI-2 (MCT30), which gets an LWS and air tracking, and sits at the same BR. Compared to other vehicles as well, such as the Begleit or even just the M3A3, it lacks quite a bit in capability.

True.

But the fact that making them worse but more realistic was put to a vote, but the buff wasn’t, making it good ground to call it a “nerf” with heavy emphasis on the quotation marks.

the vote only proved that people only want “realism” when they think it will buff them

The Type 25 is at best equal or arguably worse than the M1296 and also sits at 9.7.

I think 9.7 is fine for it, even more so if it were to get thr DU darts.

Yes if we get the DU darts, PABM, and even the spall liners I think it’s fine where it is. Currently though, I’m not entirely convinced. Especially when compared to things around that BR, which typically have tandem missiles and air tracking.

the SPAA problem as a whole would be mostly fixed overnight (no SPAA should get AP of any kind for game balance either way)

and the massive overperformance of certain shells over others that were historically just as good or superior would have the gaps in capability shrunk considerably.

realism until its a potential nerf. then its time to flag their comments

They wanted to do a “Test - Event” on the DEV i think but people voted with over 50% against it.
the vote was als “rigged/influenced” bye some People/Youtoubers aswell or some People where to stupid to read that the Vote was for a Test Run (how could the APHE rework look like) and not for a guarantied inplemantation ans so the voted no.
