Major Update "Ninth Wave" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 3)

i think so yeah.

would MW1 be that good vs. tanks though?

Haha, the image of the “Gaijin servers” exploding due to CBUs got removed :D

Lighter stuff yes, BL755 is the main Anti-tank CBU though

Its a small bomblet but its still a heat warhead and top armor aint thick.

IRL? Yes

Crews bail when their tanks is penetrated or parts of it get destroyed

In-game? The small bomblets wouldn’t be dangerous at all, unless they land on an overpressure spot.

The MW-1 has other bomblet options to deal more damage to tanks, but it can’t fit nearly as many of them.

Luckily the MW-1 can be loaded with mixed bomblet types

does the UK have any CBU with guided warheads like CBU-97 and 105

Kinda, Its called Brimstone

that doesnt come close in numbers

It doesnt need to though.

Thats kinda the point.

1x Tornado firing 18x Brimstones would probably do the same kind of damage to a convoy as a F-15 dropping CBU-97

each bomblet has a seeker

They arent guided. They simply have a directional charge and explode towards the contact. The main aim of it iirc is to reduce colleteral damage, especially with unexploded ordaniance

wrong, they do search for targets

I don’t believe so, I just always have it because I like it

searching for targets =/= guiding the submunition

Do the submunitions have means of adjusting their trajectory?

Carrying the Pinguins just because you can is a flex, honestly

no, but a full load of ~12 CBU-105 with 40 submunitions each dropped over a convoy is probably going to do more than only 18 brimstones

The snail gave me Pingvin I’m gonna use the Pingvin, had it actually eat a R77-1 in a ground match and save me lol

I use it whenever on all my Norsk Danish vehicles

not probably

its it gonna do more.
