so other countries can get 16, but US has to be stuck with 8 even though we made a heavy strike fighter for a reason? thats like saying its unbalanced for the F-111A to carry more bombs than a Harrier
now there is a counter so it should be added

Gaijin dont go by that.
Its the amount of fnf in one plane.
Exemple the max any plane should take is 8-16.
F15e wont have 16 plus 6 mav for exemple because it goes above 16 fnf limit
16 IS unbalanced look at the gripen E when it came out it instantly became the best CAS plane in the game, this isnt some slight against the US having 16 IR guided bombs just isnt balanced not until most nations get somthing equal to the new pantsir SM
if they just placed a cap at 16 and let us pick where the GBU-53 go that wouldnt be too bad.
Yep, so 2x4 on another set of pylons, 2x4 on the same pylons used for the Mavs
thats one of my issues with limiting to 16, they will force the pylon placement and not let us pick where it goes
They never let player pick.
Wont chnage for now.
Because will find a way to abuse it
how? the most someone could do is minimize the loss of AAM’s to 1 AIM-120 with good placement for a total of 16. or not have to run CFT and not lose any AAM with 12
770g of TNT equivalent gives me a lot to think about…
In every other metric, these missiles appear to be excellent (other than not being fire-and-forget); but 770g… it would require a precise strike to destroy the plane, wouldn’t it? Which, on the other hand, shouldn’t be hard with a 75G overload.
Its not a explosive but rather metal radio fuse type of warheads
You are forgetting the soviet special sauce, it will probably one shot everything that isnt a soviet aircraft with ease
and that is a bigger warhead than Stinger or Rapier (though Rapier is bad example to use that it will be fine as that averages 4 missiles per target)
na 770g is pretty good the rapiers mk2 missiles have 655 and they one shot like 7-8/10
Do you mean to exclude tech mods?
Oh! Stinger as a reference is good. Stinger works; if this has more, then it should work even better!
I did well saving up the RP bonuses of PT’s spading hahah.
Those extra 50k rp are better off spent on this new SAM than they would have been spent on the T-72B3.
true
In reality the SAL combination with IIR+mmW sensors can be and is used for ground troops to select a target which the IIR+mmW then lock on to (mmW for bad visibility and IIR for cluttered environment + redundancy and reduced margin of error when both are used at the same time). Makes it possible that the ground troops don’t have to illuminate the target until impact which would put them at risk and only pinpoint it shortly until the other sensors of the missile aquired the target.
That’s a good question, i don’t actually know for certain but i don’t think they have any direct contact with the developers or insight into development either.
They do, that’s why I asked and why I thought that was an interesting statement. But makes sense for Game masters and suggestion moderators.
Has that been stated publicly by them or the Community Managers? Could you link to or quote a statement for that claim?
I haven’t personally seen anything about that which is why i’m asking :)
