Weird. Mine worked going from Opera to Chrome.
Try signing out, then clicking on the application link from the news post and signing in through there.

Also on a related note whichever suggestion mod approved my suggestion I had pending since August I just want to say thank you, it was the last thing I would have expected today especially since I wasn't sure if it would even be approved in the first place.
