IRST can be installed on test aircraft. In this case, the AESA has also not yet been fitted to most German Typhoons. So it was decided to add both to this airframe. You can see examples of German Typhoons with IRST:

Well it’s main armament is fictional, so it should be removed shortly as Malaysia never operated, integrated or showed interest in KH38s + the MKM is literally older than the missile…

Yeah that’s it really. It’s the main Thai service MBT and it’s needed to make more complete Thai lineups.
It’s not that it’s needed for gameplay of the entire in-game faction, but for Thailand as a nation it’s important enough to warrant an addition. I think foldering it with Oplot is a fair solution.

But AH-64E is compatabile with JAGM from the factory, so it’s fine, however the MKM was built and delivered before the KH-38 existed, so it doesn’t remotely make sense to be a thing

Exactly, there’s a LOT more they can add. Several IFV’s, LT’s, an ATGM carrier, etc. I’m honestly surprised not to see more vehicles added these last two updates because the Thai Ground Sub-tree is pretty bare still. Even one or two vehicles but I guess there justification is the Indonesian and Malaysian adds
