Referring to the Su-27S and Su-27SK, the export variants of Russian aircraft are subject to weight increments. The Su-30SME is the export variant of the Su-30SM.

No they don’t lol. Su-30sm is 18800kg in game which is its basic empty weight. Su-27 uses basic empty weight of 16300 kg
So this update is looking to have the lowest amount of copy-paste.
Maximum 2x Typhoons, Merkava Mk1, and Su-30MKK.

Right now SM2 is literally copy/paste of SM, don’t tell me about time of making it, it was a very harsh and unplanned decision, I don’t even know how they would manage it, for now they hope the SM2 would make Soviets feel better

It doesn’t matter if it’s copy-paste or not.
Even if they started development of the SM2 one week, it wouldn’t be ready until March update at the earliest.
And SM2 development was allegedly leaked in October.
You’ve never done any work on games and it shows.
It literally costs nothing to do what they did
Su-30sm2 has a slightly different model compared to su-30sm. It has extra antennas

Research team has to find out what the vehicle looks like.
They send that to the 3D model lead and they decide if they can re-use a model or not.
If not, then they commission a new model and cockpit.
Which they did all 3 of those steps with SM2 as you point out, Kizvy.
The cockpit of SM2 is looking like it’ll be a new one as well because it’s not modeled yet.
There is not cockpit yet and even the 3d model is copy/paste, just with different color
