Major Update "Line of Contact" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 2)

potato potato who cares, we have tanks working ingame that were at most on paper irl so why should technical limitations be a reason in this totally “realistic” game

well thats weird. I guess its because one cannon has AP and the other HE since the bmpt cant switch ammo like the buma and cv90’s

atleast let me choose to use the left cannon, it’s completely unsuable ingame: https://www.reddit.com/r/TankPorn/comments/1h2nhyh/combat_footage_of_a_bmpt_terminator_in_the/

As I said - it have a perfectly reasonable and logical explanation for doing this IRL. In game? We only APDSFS shells in our tanks while IRL armament is primarely HEAT and HE. But yeah… I wish it was different, but if something made as design choice no way to argue without some hard evidence thrown at tech mods

It was mentioned on RU stream that this feature is not ready yet, but will be

I mean the humvee has that GWOT je ne sais quoi, but if i had to pick one from the two side by side, I’d pick the JLTV every time. Just looks meaner.

what about the gun shake? will they not model that

Because no gun in game is modeled with this, at best some dispersion

well it doesnt even impact accuracy, it would just be cool to see it. Also there is not a single video of the BMPT without the gun shake IRL

Idk, I just prefer the older, classic look of the HMMWV.

Spoiler

probably because they want to keep the BR around 10.3, especially the premium version, giving them apfsds would probably yeet them to 11.0.

As someone who has had to drive the HMMWV, Various MRAPS and the JLTV. I wish nothing but the worst for the HMMWV… Even if the H1s do look cool

I think if the spoilers were like that, it would be more fun.

BMP-2M sits on 10.3 tho. With better ATGMs, mobility and lower profile

Possible winter sport event?

BMPT about to make the puma on release look well balanced in comparison.

IFVs with heavier armor always seem to get placed higher, likely because they perform better (not sure on this last bit though.

Prime exaple is the Namers vs the Puma VJTF.

Heavier armour does not nullifies T-series mobility… the lack of it, rather. (also the well known weak spots on top of the new ones). Plus normal beam riding ATGMs and not a F&F

The better armor that the Namer has also doesn’t nullifies the massive mobility disadvantage it has compared to the Puma VJTF.

However that didn’t stop Gaijin from moving the Namers to 11.3 while the VJTF stayed at 11.0.
