Any news regarding giving the AESA Typhoons just a little extra to make the grind feel more worthwhile and to better distinguish them from their previous M-Scan version? (Striker II, Litening V, better A2G, Better DASS, etc etc)

which SAM can “INSTANTLY” shoot down an aircraft taking off from 20 km’s away? The iris-t got massively nerfed in terms of lock range and all other sams are useless since they are ARH and get fooled by the ground way too easily.

these missiles are IIR, and cannot be flared, unless you want the entire gamemode of Air RB to break this is a very very bad idea, that’s why ECM/LDIRCM/EW is required with longer ranged ARHs to prevent the monstrosity which is IIR unflareable gameplay. also the R-73 is not game-breakingly more overpowered than the other counterparts like PL-5EII, Magic 2 and 9M

Why is that? The brochure does not specify whether it refers to the Irkutsk or KnAAPO variant; it only mentions the Su-30MK. I don’t think the Russians would intentionally favor KnAAPO in this regard.

“Cannot be flared” is a massive overstatement. The elde 98 (which is the exact same missile as the air launched IRIS-T) gets easily flared and has basically no energy. Also yes, the r-73 is not massively overpowered but it is the only thrust vectoring IRCCM 50g missile in the game. So adding a better variant for everyone would be quite welcome. And decompression also exists so that aircraft with these munitions would be a much higher BR if you wanted to play lower tier with the typhoon for example.

ground maps vary with airfield locations, Just look at Alaska, the airfield is about 15,000 metres away from the combat zone, the BUK can instnatly shoot at aircraft and you can see it in some videos. ORBIX did one and we had to actively take off from the runway towards the crew quatres to avoid being shot down on take off
I think this is a characteristic of different missiles. For example, the PL-5E2 has an extremely fast acceleration, which is an excellent balance. Different missiles have their own unique features and will not be overly powerful.

cannot be flared is an understatement, the flared IRIS-T SL you’re talking about is either not flared at all but defeated by dodging the datalink, or preflaring because the way the IIR is modelled ingame is dual IRCCM: FOV Clamp + Seeker Shutoff. so it’s not properly modelled which significantly increases chances of it being flared very easily. if gaijin were to properly add IIR seekers you literally cannot flare them, if you do you’re god’s 1 in 10000000 chosen person

again, you’re fine with china and russia having great IRCCM and manuverability, but all other nations are stuck with a subpar aim-9m that cant turn and has no energy.

first of all, untrue. the PL-5EII is comparable to the Magic 2, and the 9M has more energy than said missiles.
