It explicitly addresses the threat of cas, not moving the problem on. The weapons are have are potent, the threats we should face should be as well. Kh 38 or otherwise. Nothing about this moves the problem on, it explicitly addresses it.

Russian tanks already were they have magic ERA and missiles just love to hit the most armoured points.

Yeah, i’ll agree here actually, they could even add two different versions of the NG if they wanted. just “JAS39NG mod 1” and “JAS39NG mod 2” , the mod 1 could just be added as sort of a top tier stopgap (just some extra nick-nacks compared to C) and then mod 2 with newer mechanics/weaponry (like early AIM-120C and IRIS-T versions) and lastly E when the mechanics are way more implemented with the latest weapons.
The mod 1 could even be the C version airframe as the early NG versions were still using the C/D airframes, then the mod 2 with the E airframe.
