I mean we know exactly what will happen to top tier air because it has already happened to top tier ground. They rush to some of the newest/most modern stuff and then barely add new top tier vehicles.
There are accepted bug reports to buff ITR and STR, and there are primary sources that Gaijin doesnt consider to be real stating that the supercruise speed should be 0.2 mach higher than it currently is. Also seems to be some wierdness with the engines loosing 25% of their thrust after turning. Also the rip speed is probably way too low. Even several sources showing the Typhoon should have AMRAAM/Meteors on the inner most wing pylons but Gaijin wants more than the sources from the manufactorers.
Beyond just FM stuff. You have:
- The BOL nerfs
- All the Goldfish-M issues (at this point, should just be replaced with CAPTOR-E, pretty clear they can’t or won’t fix it)
- the cockpit is a mess
- the HUD/HMD are a mess
- PIRATE is hardly worth even having
- It’s missing most of its A2G loadout (and not even just stuff that would be a balancing concern like a dozen or so possible types of GBUs)
And thats without including weapon related reports:
- Aim-9M lock ranges are terrible
- Aim-120Bs have a lot of outstanding reports
- Aim-120C5s are barely an upgrade
- Brimstone 1s have a number of outstanding bug reports and issues (on top of the lack of MMW and the fact the Typhoon only ever used Brimstone 2s and later)
Suffice to say. It IS underperforming quite a bit at the moment.

Hey guys. We appreciate that this topic does love a good rumour, however recently, some more extreme examples concerning “Stealth” aircraft have been covered that go beyond that by misleading people with false information on the current development priorities.
We want to be clear that the claim that 5th Generation aircraft being planned for this year in any capacity is false, and has not been part of our plan for 2025

Not really but okay. Premium time is still the best investment, and unlock times for top tier have significantly reduced

That’s way too soon for the number of production and prototypes that fills WW2-mid Cold War still missing from that game. 3 years isn’t enough time to add all of those, so there will be plenty of content, it just isn’t going to be majority top tier.
The nations in-game have a large number of these, not to mention the nations without a home and sub-trees, both of which see less than 10% of their tech.
The 405 error is getting annoying.

Premium time is the best investment when you are grinding trees, course- or if you regularly unlock and purchase new vehicles as they are implemented.
But for a low tier player, who got all low tier vehicles long ago and only plays them? Why would this player purchase premium time? They got nothing to unlock or purchase- and even if a few new vehicles came, they cost very little RP and SL anyway.
The main purpose of that “clear marketing lie” leak was to screw up plans and get all that postponed.
I do believe your post just confirms that said leak was terribly successful. God bless the leakers.

Stuff like the SL safety net would be one of the big ones. Map bans as well.
Preuim has more than just grind reasons.
As a low-tier player, I’m not going to be able to renew mine this year, so I don’t look forward to seeing Berlin again.
And I’ve had strings of bad games that only would have lost SL.
Honestly at this point I’m using it for 100% camo condition and extra decals lol. I used to have it to make it easier to make SL playing top tier but sitting at 40m SL I definitely don’t need it just for SL anymore lol
Even still, it’s good to know it’s delayed because then we can speculate and get excited for something else this December

They even added the wink, yes- so that was the goal indeed.
They are a hero, hahah. This is good both for the game’s present day health and to ensure a longer lifespan.
Rushing for more and more modern vehicles without fleshing out the trees and polishing/adjusting the game modes accordingly is just bad.
And running out of content so early would have also been horrible for the game’s lifespan. As we discussed, War Thunder can theorically survive in life support once all the content is implemented- but it’s the regular and gradual flux of content that really allows it to be as big and relevant as it currently is.

my only concern is the game starting to die since gaijin have clearly focused the ads and stuff around modern combat if they just stop adding modern vics I feel a lot of the players who joined for that might decided to leave, like Im gonna be honest there aren’t a lot of prototype ww2 tanks left that I think would be interesting, planes are in a similar spot but I think there are still some unique and interesting options left for them in ww2.
the cold war is really where a lot of interesting things are still left, also not to mention there are a TON of IFVs that still need adding to pretty much everyone (baring maybe russia)
