Major Update "Leviathans" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 3)

J7E is one of the most broken/overperforming aircraft in the game.

May I introduce you to the f16a

I said one of the most not necessarily the most.

edit:
and have you seen J7E??? that think is insane for no reason.

It is an early Mig21 with more wing area and a stronger engine

So it is lighter than the Mig21 bis while having an equivalent engine and bigger wing area

I think that might be the reason

Also better designed wings, probably some composites too.

1990’s deep modernisation. Not as deep as JF-17, but deep enough.

I wouldn’t say that the Jf17 is a modernisation of the Mig21 as it doesn’t have that much in common with it

That is why the grind is setup to be so unberable. 150 dollar premiums soon just to skip that Grind to 16.0

You can see just a slight hint of MiG-21 on the back, also double delta wings work similarly to strakes so the FM is actually closer than they seem.

Yeah, I am deeply worried to be aware that we may run out of content before 2028…

Like- what happens then? This game’s economy relies on the regular addition of new content and Premiums… what comes when there’s nothing left to add anymore?

New players would still come, and players would always have the option to grind more nations, but… would that be enough to maintain the servers and enough staff members to support the game and its media? To keep the servers running and supported, with graphical and sound updates, bug fixing (maybe then they will actually “have time” for that lmao), mechanics, etc…

In the long term, maybe they could implement a modest subscription model to ensure the game’s survival- I am talking about 2030+, when there is no more content to implement left at all, in order to sustain the game’s economy. But, knowing this community, they would probably go berserk over the idea of paying 5€ a month for their game not to be discontinued and closed down. I personally would rather have the game survive indefinitely no matter what than have it be discontinued and close down forever in a few years, but maybe I’m weird.

hmmm, we’re getting closer to release then iirc? skins are normally pretty close to the end of the update cycle right?

Realistically speaking it doesn’t cost much to keep the servers running. It however costs a lot to keep staff for development. In other words, the game can coast for a long time with no income with just a skeleton crew.

But yes, games like this rely heavily on new content and part of my concerns with already jumping into Gen 5 presumably by the end of year mean the end might be closer than we think.

The game isn’t the type to monetize cosmetics effectively to ride on them either nor on game modes. It does seem like the only option is to go into experimental and paper vehicles

Good point!

Now, the costs are high because the flux of content is high, and vice versa- when there is no more flux of content, income will be lower, but so will costs be; so there would be no net losses.

Basically, the staff would probably go from the current 120+ active developers to like 30, and there would be no more outsource purchases, etc… I feel bad for all of those who will lose their jobs, but I guess that’s a natural part of things. And with years and years of experience behind their backs and good references, they will probably not have a hard time at all finding a new job!

That’s because they can only run the game off the hype train they create for top tier bozos.
So much more vehicles, tech trees to add, mechanics and bugs to fix but the catering to dented players obviously comes first.
( Harsh reality but those bozos are the ones currently worried for the future of the game rn, idk why, they’re getting their F-35 copypasta into 5 billion trees and effectively ruining anything below top tier and down)
Edit: inb4 anyone asks, I used to care about the game as well, hell I’ve been playing it for more than a decade now, but at this point I just point and laugh. At least I’m entertained I guess.

Well, leaving aside your clear distaste towards top tier players… yeah, that’s correct, hahah.

The majority of the income comes from Top Tier Premium vehicle purchases and people rushing for Top Tier indeed.

It’s only logical, though- the low tiers are so easy and quick to grind that no one on their right mind would pay to progress over there unless they really liked a Premium vehicle and got it just for the fun of it. Top Tier however has such a tediously long and slow grind that it’s where most money goes.

Maybe if the non-top tier folks actually opened their wallets, they’d be heard lol. Something something vote with your wallet and all that

Specially now with the multi-vehicle packs. I got the Two Fronts pack even though I already had Germany entirely researched just because I really liked the tanks and the new lineup they would bring, hahah.

Thing is- outside of that, there’s no reason to pay for low tier stuff when it can all be grinded and spaded within hours. Same goes for Premium account- it is completely unnecessary with low tier economy.

Top Tier however- Premium vehicles and accounts are practically a requirement in order to unlock vehicles at an acceptable rate. So it’s logical that the majority of money is flowing from Top Tier.

EDIT: there are actually many reasons to get Premium beyond the grind! I just forgot about them for some reason when talking about this xD

JF-17 comes from the J-7, but not from a direct way. J-7C/CP → Sabre II → Super-7 → FC-1/JF-17
