They have been tested and yk how gaijin treats aircraft with tested weapons and non existent weapons.
Yet in the job it’s needed for WVR it is as good as it needs to be with the F-22 dogfighting platform.
Honestly gameplay wise with how the current matches at top tier go i see fifth gens going something like
F-22/Su-57>F-35/J-35>J-20
And unless they fundamentally change gameplay at top tier (and also give players a reason to stop furballing in the middle of the map) i dont see it being a very fun time either.

well does it really matter if something like an asraam or r-74m2 will just nuke the f-22 before the 9x will ever get in range. besides at least with the most modern european and russian planes, they can simply launch the missile while being in the notch (they have 90+ azimuth radars) and the f-22 will never have a chance. british mains will finally stop complaining lol
Are you really suggesting the F-22 is worse than then the eurofighter or Su-57? Maybe today becuase it’s over 30 years old but I still doubt it becuase why would the F-22 get into IR range (it has IR stealth too) when it can nuke them without them knowing it’s even there.

Do you really think the f-22 is going to be invisible at the ranges that most battles in war thunder play at.
If they add the missiles your talking about then yeah they’ll extend the map.
even then I doubt stealth will be insane, if stealth is such a massive thing then you defeat the missiles the same way you defeat them now, also for BVR missiles to work they need a radar lock guess what gives away your position

The thing is that yes they will know you are there but they won’t be able to lock you becuase the tracking part of the radar won’t be able to get an effective lock. Additionally the tiny radars in the ARH missiles are more easily defeated due to notching being more effective in a stealth aircraft.
yeah so what is your point?? it sounds like the more and more you speak the more and more it sounds like your getting into WVR, and in that situation the ASRAAM wins before a 9X or an IRIST can be launched, the best bit you will have no idea its coming because no warning

same weight (5kg difference), same range (almost), same dimensions more or less
don’t really know when it went online though
Only difference seems to be the absence of IIR and MICA IR NG that should make a more substantial difference in range again (60+20 → 80km)

tbf idk if there are even any LPI radars in game there is whatever the stormer has but I dont think that is actually radar
Stormer HVM is IRST not a radar.
and no there isnt. There isnt even radar power drop-off, which is why radar range is kinda irrelevant in game
