the YF-22 also has closer flight performance to the F-22 than the B-2 does (obviously), the mix of stealth, flight perfomance, and offensive capability (all 3 are worse on the YF-22) so it would be a better way to test a production stealth fighter

Who could have guessed that stealthshaping leads to similar designs in aircraft?
Bottom says they might push it back but F-35 going to all nations makes my skin itch.

I mean maybe in the 90’s but look at the UK’s 5th gen program and the USA’s 6th gen they both show there are other and better designs to use for stealth

its not just about stealth though, the leaked additions are all fighters and you know fighter gameplay and tactics differ a lot from bomber gameplay. anyways unless the B-2 got like 40-50k ft airspawn it would be completely hopeless to fly and no one would actually play it in air modes. even the YF-22 can protect itself, the B-2 is free food in air outside of sim

i mean yeah the YF-23 would be great aswell but it was less complete than the YF-22 which is part of why it lost. didnt the prototype Su’s have more complete avionics among other things, than the 1990 YF-22?
