Major Update "Leviathans" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 3)

There are 2 scenarios that will likely happen:

  1. SLM and Pantsir remain as good as they are, Slamraam&Spyder&CS/SA5 remain mediocre =

People will just queue Russia and Germany together and we will get a sort of continuation of the current Russia+Germany+Sweden curbstomp meta.

Germany would legit be the only winner this update in this scenario.

  1. SLM and Pantsir remain as good as they are, Slamraam&Spyder&CS/SA5 also get significanrly buffed =

Still not ideal, but this should at least create enough pressure from both teams to make it so that flying is discouraged and CAS should be easily dealt with.

No specific nations win significantly, but at least people who like playing tanks win.

which is why im suggesting buffs to italy and the UK as right now they have some of the worst tanks at top tier the only nation in a similar boat being isreal from what I have heard.

the thing is even in both of these scenarios nations like france, america, japan still have really good CAS that will be able to actually fight these SPAA, italy and the UK are stuck with SAL weapons with an effective range of 7km an absolute max of 12km and with in 7km you are pretty much dead to any of the new SPAA baring maybe the CS/SA5

The top tier matchmaker is also another big overlook by many people. The fact that Germany, Russia, and Sweden usually match together needs to be addressed.

I mean Italy has a top 5 MBT in the form of the 2A7HU (or top 1 if you count all the 2A7s/Strv 122s as 1 tank).

I would be more than fine with buffing the Challenger 2 reload to a 5 second overall (so removing the reload penalty after the ready rack is emptied), but even the challenger 2s will have a better time if most of the new spaas are good.

Most people playing thie game are not very good and pretty predictable anyway, which makes ground RB manage able outside of cas.

Italy currnetly has one of the joint best tanks in game with the Leopard 2A7HU.

Britain already has every major modification of Challenger baring some of the CR.3 upgrades into production.

We dont artificially buff tanks to bring them in line. Only reload is a balancing mechanism.

They also said something about the Soviets, and only other ones I heard was France and Italy.

Tech tree placement in matches from my understanding is purely popularity based.
USA and USSR are the most popular, thus will almost never get into matches together.
If Sweden and USA swapped popularity, USA would be on the Soviet team more often.

but Challengers’ reload is bad than others now(i mean even m1a2 can shut 17rounds in 5s reload, but challengers is still 4 round 5s reload…)it’s really balance?

Forwarded for consideration.

2A7HU is one of the best tanks in game and then the Centaros work well with the the lineup and the Gripen is also useable for CAS

I dont think giving the CR2 realistic reload rate and armour upgrades would be an “artificial buff”

The 4 round ready rack of the Challenger 2 is not only bad for balance, but also unrealistic, there are 20+ charges/projectiles directly below/behind the loader.

Imo the 2A7HU is THE best tank in the game,
Same armor as the German one
.50cal, and better gun and round
compared to the 122B+,
armor isn’t far off but wayyyyyy better thermals

Smin do you happen to have any info regarding which Derby version the devs are planning for the Spyder on release?

Will it be stuck with the (rather subpar) Derby-SR or are the devs planning Derby-ER (which is more in line with the SLM and Pantsir)?

(Sorry for asking this multiple times. I really want to be excited for the Spyder, but the Derby-SR are letting it down massively)

Is the SR as far as im aware currently.
