It’s exactly the hovering that makes them difficult to deal with using ARH. They’re almost in a perfect state of notch lol.
THey could just scale it up to IRL size and then add an actually large map for top tier

That’s not how that works you can’t just enlarge things lol, they’d have to remake everything that isn’t just terrain
Used it, but didnt have the intergration for it. So the interface in the cockpit thought it was a TIALD so none of the buttons did what they said it did.
Dont forget the year+ old report for TIALD to be gen 2
But the terrain is the big bit.
Anyway. We need bigger maps. We need a new ASB map and the Falklands should be too scale.

Interesting, anways is there any information on the Leopard 2PL receiving it’s spall liners? The bug report has been passed around a year ago but there hasn’t been any information (at least from what I saw) on wether it’s going to get them or not.
And you can’t just enlarge the terrain either as then everything is just stretched out and unproportional compared to all other objects.
So it’s asking them to redo months of work

all Gen 3 CN MBT’s had their reports accepted over 2 years ago still no news on that.

Thats on them, not exactly hard to make sure the scale is correct. its clear they just made the map fit to the size they wanted and quite frankly 130km x 130km is laughably small for top tier

Rightfully so to be fair.
The average size for ASB maps is 128x128. So its barely larger than what is stated. The map is set up diaganolly so that helps a bit, but a huge amount is lost because its not even corner to corner (with the airspawns, no reason why they couldnt be over the water). Overall, Id say its no larger than any other ARB map we already have, maybe even smaller and more than certainly smaller than several ASB maps we have had for years.
256 x 256 would not be an unreasonable size for 12.0 - 13.7 aircraft (id have no issue with that size map in ASB down to about 10.0) . for 14.0 even larger than that is probably required

Because there is a lot of differences between DCS and WT.
But its pretty clear that WT cannot sustain the current map sizes. Any SB main will tell you the same.
