ah, yeah missed that
It’s definitely time for LMUR for the Mi-24, Mi-35, Mi-28’s, and Ka-52…
So our Humvee is magical?
Oh sweet the Thai SB2C is going down in price
China is the only nation without any IR guided AGMs and is only better than Germany at CAS, which is being changed with the addition of the Swiss Hornet, so yeah, China should definitely get one of its indigenous IR guided AGMs.
You know if we are talking about fire and forget missiles on helicopters gaijin could do something really evil.
Only Mi-28NM and maybe Ka-52 can get LMUR.
Mi-28NM has definitely been fitted with it and used it as we have plenty of evidence from a certain event for it. The Ka-52 getting it on the other hand is up in the air as while its claimed to have used it no actual footage/photos of LMUR being used from a Ka-52 have appeared so ita probably just a Ka-52M only thing atm.
The Apache could get 4 as well.
didnt know the Apache could carry MavD’s
idk if im the only one thatll have this but i couldnt figure out why my game had no sound, for some reason it decided to start with this setting
anyways, what has been gong on today
Things like that are unfortunately not especially rare.
It should have longer range, it’s not just a MMV version of BA-7 but a different missile, basically larger.
accepted long ago but you know the rest
I don’t remember this part, any source?
like any other IR missile without LOAL, the seeker’s lock range is still a limit, for usual IIR AGM it’s around 12km, though still higher than current common 8KM, but fine to current spaa.
mk, tbh i can kinda see a seperate AH-64A being added to the tree to be a carrier of it as at the current AH-64A’s BR is kinda a bit low for having a maverick
yes of course the missile is limited by the IR seeker but in real life I imagine that the missile is also used on large structures emanating enough heat to be locked by the missile hence the 25 km range but yes for tanks the missile must be limited by its IR seeker to about 12 km as you say
go test drive a harrier, and fire the mavericks from a hover, and see how far they actually fly
Nope. LMUR has been fitted on, tested, and used in combat on Mi-17, Mi-24, Mi-35, Mi-28 (no sure which version, but I’d assume N and NM), and Ka-52.
And yes, footage is scarce, and yes, it’s mostly been an Mi thing, but I have seen footage of 24/35’s and 28’s on telegram from the events going on we can’t talk about.
700 meter alt from hover, couldn’t reach 4.5km so…
That is a non-issue. It’s as simple as a blanket, above ‘X’ BR all vehicles will have multi-spectral smoke.
But if you want to be pedantic, the only vehicles this would be a problem for would be non-NATO members as M81 is available to all of them.
Edit: or just making APS systems more widespread, which solves the problem similarly
Some smoke grenades have no chaff elements, not all. Which is more than enough for the devs to just make a blanket above ‘X’ BR all smokes will be multi-spectral.
