Yes, because in my experience, WVR is where aircraft go to die.
Rafale with Magic II and MICA or Su-30SM with R-77-1 and R-73 will eat a Typhoon alive with high off-boresight shots.
Sitting high and fast, using AMRAAMs is the only place Ive found that the Typhoon is actually even slightly good. Especially with how weak BOL are at defeating anything at close range.
Not every battle happens beyond 15km. Alot of combat happens at close range still

And Typically if the fight is looking like its going WVR (in SB) I turn around and get the hell out of there. I know im completely outclassed without HOBS.
Iโll only dogfight if I absolutely have no choice and its an absolute chore without a radar that works at close range and with the worst dogfighting missile in the game

and if the F-15 wastes all 8x AMRAAM on a single Typhoon, then he deserves to take an 27mm Mauser blast up the tail pipe
So it would just have to move closer to F-15 while occasionally defending, then pop an AIM-120A or two and then the F-15 has to fall back if he doesnโt want to fully focus on you, which you even said was dumb

The F-15 doesnt have the FM of a Tornado. Turning isnt going to make it stall out of the sky.
So Typhoon tries to engage an F-15E. It fires An Aim-120C5 well beyond the range of an Aim-120B. So the Typhoon is forced to defend. it turns back in. F-15E fires again, it defends again. Repeat until the F-15 has run out of missiles?
Yeah but if the F-15 is forced to run to live, while the Typhoon can comfortably close in knowing it has superiority once itโs within 120B effective range, which is really better?
Then Tornado F3 Late to a lower BR than the F-15A. because once the F-15A has dealt with the Tornado F3s 4x AMRAAM. It can go in for a free kill?

Whole generation better missile vs generation level performance difference.
F-15C/E with 120Cโs vs Typhoon is half generation better missile (if generous), vs half generation better performance.
But the F-15A has the much better WVR performance.
So does the typhoon?
And the F-15A has the better WVR performance to the Tornado.
So if BVR performance is totally irrelevant. Why is the Tornado the same BR as the F-15A?

Holy strawman, I never said it was pointless, but that WVR is also important when you only ever really compare the BVR aspect where they are roughly equal when you know Typhoon has much better WVR
And I never said F-15E or C should go down in BR
But the F-15E should go up if its too get AIm-120C5s, except you would be against that right?
and the Typhoon is only better against the F-15. Its still far far weaker than the Rafale and Su-30Sm which is why I would avoid getting into a sitation where I might be dogfighting one and so pretty much stick in BVR
But if the only reason to deny the Typhoon Aim-120C5s is becasue it can out gunfight the F-15. Then that is just a dumb argument
Finally. So if Typhoon is better than F-15 and Typhoon gets slammed by other 14.0 where does that put an F-15 with AIM-120A, no BOL, no AESA (for C, E is too much)
and if the Typhoon is getting slammed by everything is WVR because its artificially nerfed with no Radar, no BOL, nerfed FM, etc etc. Why should only the F-15E get such a massive BVR buff and why shouldnt it go to 14.3 if it does in a vacuum?
