real would be cool, I cant wait to see USS. United States and HMS Malta lol
I mean i was expecting some good stats but i didnt expect them to essentially make the perfect BB. Literally has all the best qualities of Iowa and Yamato in one lol but then again yeah not surprised
its even funnier when you realise russia physically couldn’t build the ship to this standard one of many issues was the russian steel industry couldnt make plates thick enough to their order and be cemented so the armour would have been that thick but weaker then the armour of some ww1 dreadnaughts
That is if you look on explicitly top tier. Low rank (if not everything below tops)… not that much (besides Pr. 46-K, because naval SAM at 5.3 is just plain silly)
Kirov Battlecruiser my beloved.
I mean yeah it’s a nerf, but hardly a massively impactful one.
Dont even want to think of that…we’ll need Aegis destroyers to counter that thing…
nearly stock vanguard vs I dont know how spaded Iowa. Was an easy fight
What’s that?
That’s the counter to the Kirov, The Blackburn Buccaneer with Sea Eagles.
If the Kirovs ever needed to be sunk it was to fall to RNAS
A counter how?
By flying really low being impossible to intercept with the Kirovs missile systems and sinking her with Anti shipping missiles
You’re not aware of the Kortik’s are you?
They don’t have a 100% interception rate, it’s fun to think these systems are infallible. Back in the 80s not so much.
This goes for basically everything lol, I doubt a buccaneer will be even slightly a threat, it would be seen before it came over the horizon due to the large mast and fired on. Aegis equipped ships are a different story.
How about we imagine the Kirov and Buccaneer being on the same team and not fighting eachother?
Like say, 4 Kirovs and 28 Buccaneers, how many Montana’s (or ship/aircraft of your choosing, regardless of being real or paper) can they take down before all of them are lost.
Tu-95 is riel
But I was talking about lineups;
Even if no ship ever individually matches Soyuz, out lineups will surpass it by sheer numbers.
Eh, the Bucc was intended to fly below the radar horizon of the Kirov, typically below 500ft, then fling a tactical nuke from a few km away in a weird back-flip manoeuvre. At least in war games it proved effective, and I doubt a CWIS would be able to target a nuke with very little warning.
