How come only the F-2 gets the Sniper pod?
I guess so people have something unique to grind as gaijin want players to play Japan, that’s my guess.

F-2, AAM-4, AAM-3, J/AAQ-2, ASM’s, all are completely unique to Japan

Honestly it’s better for them that never happened. F-22 is not cheap to buy or maintain and it’s a big and very heavy plane

I could be wrong about the Harriers but someone was looking at a F-22 option along with French Rafael fighters ect

This one was an F-X proposal. It lost out to GCAP anyways since for a joint project it only offered very limited Japanese involvement (only the engines iirc), on top of Lockheeds already terrible reputation for cooperation.

The Royal Navy outlined its design requirements for its eventual replacement for the Sea Harrier FA2 and those design requirements were combined with / used by the USMC for its design requirements for a next gen carrier capable strike aircraft that would go onto become the F-35
