And like I said fixed CAPTOR M combined with EFT flight performance would put it back on par with AESA F-15’s, at least let them do BVR well, Typhoon doesn’t have to be #1 in all a2a purposes

WVR? Rafale clowns it at the moment, even more so after the MICA buffs
BVR? F-15E with Aim-120C5 will win every time and it already sucks to try and fight an Su-30SM that is competetant, as they just shoot down every single AMRAAM.
A2G? Nope, massively nerfed and ahistorical placeholder loadout that is comprable to that of aircraft a full BR lower.
FM? Buggy as hell. Radar? Buggy as hell.
F-15E is gunan become the best aircraft in ARB once again.
F-15E gets AIm-120C5, the Typhoon gets Aim-120C5
F-15 gets AESA, Typhoon gets AESA.

- I also think it should be no problem for the typhoon assuming fixed radar. Anyways, why should F-15C have to be balanced around a single aircraft when there are things like Rafale and Su-30SM
- I already told you, F-15C with AESA and C-5 not E would be the more reasonable choice, F-15E with C-5 is a bit much
becuase I expanded upon what was being discussed. Its frustrating that no matter what, the Typhoon is denied buffs and yet everyone else they get lavished upon them without even asking for them.
Because the F-15 and Typhoon are the closest in performance when it comes to BVR.
WVR combat Typhoon should roughly match what the Rafale can do (it cannot) and in BVR combat the Typhoon should roughly match what the top F-15 can do (it cannot if nothing changes)
Why should the F-15 be dominant without equal… again?
And yet, its not the C getting the C5. Its the E.
So best or almost best at WVR and BVR?
F-15C late would have Su-30SM as an equal with 4 more missiles.
Its a great dogfighter and if bug reports get implemented should be more improved even sadly it will still lose to all of them simply because they would all have more fox 3s. The F-2 will have to be a rat fighter just going in close staying at medium to low altitudes and picking people off.
TBH lack of HMD isn’t too bad it gets some of the best and widest ACM modes out there so you can lock people off bore pretty well.

Yeah, not having HMD on a fighter is still a disadvantage but with -ESA you get really good performance for close range radar stuff

Should be one of the best.
But is underperforming in every single respect.
Its unlikely we’ll ever get our IRL FM.
So that leaves, radar, CMs and AAMs as areas that can be buffed.
We’ll have to probably put up with the Sub-par Aim-9M for now as ASRAAM/IRIS-T will probably be a while yet. So that means we are lacking in a WVR fight against anyhting with R-73 or Magic II.
So that leaves BVR combat. BOL hopefully will be fixed, but then again, with the F-18C getting over 1000 CMs via BOL, they may decide against it just because that is too strong. So that removes having a decent chaff loadout.
So that just leaves radar and missiles.
its been 6 months, no sign of CAPTOR-M. Im inclined to beleive it wont be coming. So at some point, they need to submit defeat and just add CAPTOR-E. which would put us on par with the Rafale and Su-30 in terms of radar performance and im sure the F-15 will of course be the same major update.
Then that leaves BVR missiles. AKA the Aim-120C5. Which is being added. Onto the Typhoons BVR equal the F-15E… There is only one answer. Add Aim-120C5s to the Typhoon.
If the US got the F-22 and they added Meteor to the Typhoon in the same major update and you just had AIm-120C? would you accept that?
C-5? No
C-7 or C-8? yeah I’d be alright with it, would prefer an AIM-120D but Raptor is meaningfully faster, and such a potent opposing missile might mean it actually gets good stealth.
So you would want to have an equal performance AAM?
And yet Typhoon with Aim-120B vs F-15E with Aim-120C5 (and assuming not a single bug fix for the Typhoon) do you really consider that fair or any different to leaving the F-22 with Aim-120C5 vs Typhoon with Meteor ?
