Major Update "Leviathans" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 3)

The gun is for the F-2, as its the one it uses.

We are truly lucky to be able to see it in its Soviet glory since the devs spray painted over the invisible coatings for balance purposes.

Although it’d be nice to see in its full capacity it’s good of the devs to weaken it to a level where Iowa and Yamato can sort of fight back

Probably still mad for what happened at the naval battle of tsushima…jk…right?

I dont wanna tag a community manager or others cause i dont wanna get in trouble but was the AIM-9P-4 and or AIM-9P-5 ever considered for the F-5E and Mirage IIIS C.70? I was looking foward to these missiles and these platforms so im a little bit let down that they arent going to be able to be used to their fullest potential…

I’m sorry but why tf are crew skills required to make radars turn faster???

This is just getting stupid. How does a more experienced crew make the radar turn faster?

No, I think there’s a major issue with the Derby on Spyder at the moment. After launch, it barely maneuvers at all, and I can’t use it to hit any aircraft. Additionally, this thing seems to be affected by 39-degree maneuvers. I hope Gaijin can equip Spyder with a better infrared missile instead of just copying the data from the 81C and naming it PY5 or I-Derby.

Can you hit anything with the Derby? I feel like Gaijin might have messed up the code. After launch, it seems to be waiting to unlock the overload or something, and its maneuvering logic is completely different from the AIM-120C.

Low skilled crews cant apply enough WD-40

you need to wait and see, just ignore current placeholder codes like you ignore the IRIS-T in SPYDER

I feel like Gaijin has shifted their focus heavily towards naval warfare this time around. The level of polish on other vehicles is extremely poor.

They need higher crew skill so they can use better trained hamsters to run on the little wheel that turns the radar.

If anyone wishes to, they can report that the SLAMRAAM should have a 75km range for its radar, rather than 20km that it is now. But it should get nerfed in radar RPM down to 30.

What was Thales involvement in MPQ-64? Seems to be Raytheon and then Lockheed for the A4

It would be cool if we got heavier truck AA and 64A4 radar truck ngl

There are archived websites called “Thales-Raytheon”, seems that French Thales and US Raytheon have collaborated on many radar applications. A lot more than I expected.

low skill crews doesnt apply enough grease or wd-40
high skill crews use one whole 50cmx50cm block of grease and use the devil powers to telepathically move the turret faster

I think 70km is for A1 or later versions of MPQ-64 since Thales Raytheon was formed in 2001 and base 64 is initially from 1995

Since I don’t have anything better I trust 40km for base model on wiki

Nvm, I have 40km on this website and 75 for improvement (probably A1)

Almost everything on Spyder is a placeholder.

The IR missile, which should be Python 5, is just Type81 copy pasted as a placeholder.

The ARH missile, which should be I-Derby ER, is just a IRIS model copy pasted as a placeholder (and somewhat unhelpfully and non descriptively named just ‘Derby’)

The radar is an unfinished placeholder

The optical sight is an unfinished placeholder

It’s straight up missing its launcher boxes and its missiles are floating in mid air lol.

It’s not worth really passing any judgment on Spyder until they’ve actually updated it on dev. Right now it’s just an incomplete, WiP husk.

It will be finalized in gods good time brother, have faith.
