A group of people are shouting ‘PVE’ in the naval battle server and not letting anyone else handle PVP. Why don’t you just shut down the naval battle server,This has seriously affected the gaming experience of normal players

Ok I think all bugs have been fixed. We are ready to drop the update. 👍🏻

We usually get update on Tuesday morning or evening?

What exactly am I looking at here and why are the target distance 500m, the initial speed 500km/h and the launch altitude 1m?

just showing that 120C has less maneuverability (the last thing an amraam needs is even more range)

And you try to visualize that by choosing extremely unrealistic and unlikely launch conditions?

it gets the point across

Which is really dumb, that is precisely what the C5 upgrade should have given us. The WVR performance. I guess the meta will be to run a mix of B and C5s

if gaijin made the 120C less maneuverable just because it has smaller fins then imagine what they are going to do to the ASRAAM

Shudders

Yeah… Im not looking forward to the “we dont understand how a missile without TVC can do 50Gs.”

But yeah C5s is a rather pointless upgrade. It doesnt even have a better seeker to the A/B

I believe the C-5s are still not modelled correctly, but if those are the final stats I’m completely fine with them.
The AIM-120A/Bs are good enough for WVR.
The AIM-120C-5 will be nice for the BVR LARP crowd.

(I still don’t understand the graph posted by Wade tho, looking at the Y-Axis elements on statshark suggests better short range performance, the missile just takes a bit longer to reach the target distance wise due to lower acceleration)

The issue is they are “fine” for WVR when compared to most SARH. But when compared to pretty much every other ARH missile, they are hopelessly outmatched. The Mica is getting 90°+ off boresight capability in this major update. They can literally attack from inside the notch. I dont think C5s having their extra 5G of pull and 0 guidance delay would be in anyway an issue.

Yeah. Im also not looking forward to the battle for the Mach 4.5+ flight speed given MBDA state Mach 3+

They aren’t. The MICA may outmatch them, but the A/Bs are very competitive compared to the R-77, PL-12/SD-10 and Derby/R-Darter

R-Darter pulls 40G. Making it equal to the C5 in that respect and R-77 still pulls 50G.

The only thing the AMRAAM is good for is slinging them off at longer ranges and running away. Especially as AMRAAM slingers dont get a usuable dogfighting IR missile either.

C5 was the last chance to give some parity between the Su-30SM and Rafale and everyone else, and they seem to have just given us a totaly useless missile. It might be harder to kinematically defeat at long ranges, but will be just as easy to notch.

So nothing will change in that respect and you will have to go on the defensive and runway much earlier.
