Major Update “Hornet's Sting” — DEV Server Changelog (28.02.2025)

If we take the base value of just the flat number of the armor itself
Considering they increased it (very conservative) by 1.4 times the amount compared to the type 90
We end up with around 620 on the UFP
791 for the turret cheeks

Again this info was given to the developers a full year before the actual tank released. This is a crucial detail they missed. The armor itself should stop DM53, the type 10 round was developed to be superior to DM53 and we have documentation on that as well that they outright ignored. Given everything thats been reported we can conclude
Penetration values of the type 10 round are currently incorrect
Turret cheek armor is grossly underestimated
UFP armor is grossly underestimated
Barrel length is incorrect
Breach length is incorrect
Autoloader model is copy/pasted from the type 90
The type 10 does not store additional ammo in the hull it is stored alongside the autoloader behind the commanders sighting area
What I would ask to be changed in terms of balance
Realistically we don’t need the round to be buffed
We don’t need every little thing corrected
Turret cheek armor values to be increased by 1.4x
UFP armor values to be increased by 1.4x
Rubber skirt bug to be fixed
Barrel length and breach length and size to be corrected to the correct size like it it IRL
Correct the acceleration of the tank it is quicker than the Type 90
Turret rotation speed to be corrected to its IRL values (40 degrees a second)
If possible correct modeling of autoloader
Remove hull ammo stowage move it to commanders side in the autoloader area
Do this and the tank would be correct

At minimum increase the turret cheek armor to 791 and UFP to 620
That’s all I ask

Type 10 would be my favourite tank ingame if not for the bugged steering (can’t turn without coming to full stop since it was introduced to the game 4 years ago) and inner turret cheek armor holes.

Pressing A/D for 0.6 seconds and going from 65 km/h to 25 is just not fun or practical.

Plus the underperforming armor all around in general. The thing is suppossed to be able to withstand the Type 10 round at 250m- but it barely can at 1,000.

It can do way more than that
Conservative estimate
Composite weight increased from type 90 to type 10 by 1.4 times
Using in game numbers (balancing reasons) we come to 620 for the UFP and 791 for the turret cheeks

Yo, fat snail, since you’re removing the R2Y2 can we lower the BR? Being in the same bracket as 9.0 vehicles is insane

Read above

The thing that puzzles me the most is that gaijin believes the Type 10 tank’s turret rotation rate is only 30 degrees per second, and the gun elevation rate is only 10 degrees per second.

T-84 Oplot? oh cool a tank i wont use

The zerstorer 45 is a kitbashed tank that never existed, and the Ostwind II being fictional/on paper

so why is the R2Y2 getting this treatment?

I would rather delay the arrival of the T-84 than have the issues with the Type 10 tank remain unresolved.🫠

maybe you should read a bit…

Which part do you want that states differently
I have like 5 separate documents

@Smin1080p_WT Hey again, I just wanted to make a note the Steam announcement for the Tiger HAD-E states a different title than what you receive in game.

Did they change it to “Support and Destruction” last minute or is it an typo on the store/in-game?

They won’t delay it, it’s already in talks rn

Do you want to write some bug reports for type 10. They might work🙂

It wouldn’t even be a top tier vehicle, and likely a lower BR than the VT-4.

I see nothing

They hid my post

Before they hid my post, im assuming the mods weren’t happy wit that.
What I was saying was if you want you could send me your discord, I could send you the translated documents, write up a full report for you to then submit to the moderators

they could use the empty gaps for other nations to fix bugs that the community has reported
